Great selection of storage bags, military clothes, and accessories. The woman at the front desk was very polite and helpful.
Great place with neat inventory. Prices might be a bit on the high side, but they're the only game in this part of the state, as far as I know.
Great place to shop if you're interested in and looking for military stuff or service medals and different things.
Unlike most "surplus" stores, General Merchandise actually has a ton of actual military surplus. Yeah, there's some Chinese airsoft stuff but it's generally separated from the surplus items. You're not going to find many higher end pieces of gear, but uniform items are plentiful. I make a habit of stopping in here a couple times a year.
Really fun place to go and find something. Not the place for anyone that is afraid of the military and of knives.
Awsome as always! I've made some great finds for my collection here over the years. Friendly, helpful staff and ever changing stock.
This store has everything! been coming here since they opened in early 90s . Great store ,great people, you can't go wrong and the kids just lose their minds with all they have, it's a real surplus store. Check it out it's worth it. Huge knife and swords collection, paint ball supplies tons of military gear. Boots. Too much to list they have it all.
Best selection of surplus items in Columbus. Much better than surplus world.
Great Surplus & Other Military Gear
Nice friendly help. Huge selection.
Reasonable prices.
My boyfriend got me boots from this store and they are great. Condition is perfect and he had no complaints (and he's a bit of a whiner so I would know)
I should have gotten their names but the older lady and gentlemen that work here both were super friendly and gave me the attention as if I was the only person there. The first time I just had general questions and even though they no longer have a gun tech, they said I could bring my stuff back and they would look over it. It is my first time here and since I told her that, she went in detail about their store and what they sold and where it was.
I received some stuff from a deceased co-worker's husband. I brought it all back and the gentleman took probably 20 minutes going through everything I had. He knew about parts and models and everything. I was super pleased with how he addressed all of my concerns and didn't seem to be impatient with me at all. I will come back. They treated me with great respect.
I can spend several hours in here browsing. Loads of great items for sale. Prices can be higher than online or elsewhere for items, but I prefer to support local business whenever possible. I've found a couple rare (to me at least) pieces thrown in and almost never come home empty handed. A good day for me was a trip to General Merchandise and Cousin's. Their selections were comparable but yet at times totally different. Thanks for the great products!
