I had Drs and had cna who really cares and cared how you were doing. Very kind. Helpful. I esp. Liked the ppl on bp6 where I was for most of my stay. The nurses and aides were great. Grew fond of some. I'd like to apply there after I'm back on my feet.
Got to the Danville ER at 8pm, and we were walking out at midnight.. so a 4 hour wait for a chicken pox vaccine for my 11 month old, that her doctor ordered and he called in to the ER before we even got there, that she had to have that night after being exposed to shingles. Never again. I will go to another ER or wait till the next day and go somewhere else 😡 and let’s mention that she never needed or did see a doctor. It was a nurse, came in, gave her the shot and we were gone..4 hours later!! I understand waiting your turn but to me a 4 hour wait for a quick shot in the leg is absolutely absurd. I knew she needed it and waited in the best interest of her, but LESSON LEARNED and had a long time to think about the lesson I learned in the waiting room!
This hospital doesn't even deserve 1 star. They did not treat my grandmother (who has cancer) right. Kept her waiting for food and ended up having to rewarm her breakfast two days in a row. Not to mention they've given her problems this whole time. There's many more details as to why this hospital is a bad choice.
Staff kept my grandma waiting for her breakfast two days in a row. Ended up having to reheat her breakfast. Great way to treat a cancer patient, guys
Best hospital nicest staff talented doctors, quality care pleasant atmosphere you almost forget you are in a hospital. 5 stars
This place was only good for one thing they saved my son for that I am very grateful. But treatment any other way was horrible and ridiculous. The er is so slow don't ever go to this er! You hit your call button and nurses never come! Sending me home and I still don't no what's wrong.
One star for working bathrooms.
Why be treated like a person, when you can get herded in like cattle, and completely overcharged, by GMC. Also being poked and prodded by every resident and medical student in a 10 mile radius is great.
Oh yeah10 miles..is also the distant from your car to the place you need to be. Might as well park in bloomsburg.
The Doctors and nurses here are extremely caring and knowledgeable. The Dr actually hugged my sister after explaining things to her.
Staff can be polite an professional, or oblivious to your presence. Its not about healthcare these days, only money. So just be carefull
The doctors, nurses, student nurses and student doctors were all extremely caring and took great care of my daughter Gabby!!!
Where to startGeisinger Med Center has the greatest people. Every person we came across, from patients passing in the hall, the workers who run each department, and the surgical staff, everyone went above and beyond to show me and my husband nothing but care and kindness. The entire town of Danville, PA were kind. I was there for a Spinal Fusion and stayed 2 weeks after. We are from Mississippi, where so many are rude and uncaring. Dr. Slotkin, my surgeon, was super awesome! His nurse Chris Owens has taken very good care of me. They have stayed in touch and made sure I was ok. I couldn't have dreamed of my surgery going any better and being in such a great place.
No one healthcare provider is perfect. However Geisinger saved my wifes life and for that im forever grateful.
My jaw locked yesterday due to tmj I was getting a pretty op oppointment for jaw replacement surgery for Danville they gave me a injection of muscle relaxer to help my jaw close and they got it closed. Thankyou Danville Geisinger hospital I appreciate your help it hurt extremely bad.
i've had very good doctors there but some that have came in to talk to me about my Anemia and transfusions thought they knew more than i did about my own body and how i was feeling. i've had transfusions since i was born because my Hemoglobin will not stay up and i can die if it gets any lower than 6. mine is at 7 right now and they want to hold back on giving me transfusions. i know when i need one
