I sat at the bar the bartender lady remembered me from two weeks ago she forgot my name and I also forgot her name. I always look for a name tag but no name tag was on her shirt. I ordered a drink and a shrimp basket with the sauce on the side. My food order took about 30-minutes. It was not very busy at all at the time that I was there not even many people sitting at the bar either. A lady came in and sat about four chairs to my right of me. The bartender walked up to her and they evidently knew each other very well. The woman gave her the bartender a Christmas present they continue to talk and talk and talk well I was trying to get her to look at me so that I may ask her for more napkins she continue to talk to this woman telling her all about the presents. her boyfriend or maybe he was the husband not quite sure ?? gave her for Christmas and how wonderful that he cleans the house,he cooks for her he does the shopping the laundry cleaning of the house & etc. The bartender was still speaking to Woman and telling her all of the above that I posted already and how he go's to work all day long & stops to see his girlfriend to have lunch every day so that he can see her. He started to pull money out of his wallet for the bill she said no this one's on me she took the bill & put it somewhere but not in the register. Well he was there two weeks ago & so was I. I kept trying to get her attention to ask her if she could she handed me the napkins and I thanked her she went right back to the lady again like I said and continue to talk talk and talk and laugh and laugh and the lady pulled on her wallet and ask her how much was the bill the bartender said no this is on me she took the ticket and did not put it in the till again like she did with her boyfriend's billAnd did the same thing well the bill then went right
back & continue to talk and talk and talk with/the lady I was trying to get her attention by then my food was cold. Then she went right back to her lady friend and continue to talk and talk. By that time I was getting pretty agitated I needed another drink but by the time I was done with my cold lunch but should have been nice and hot I was fed up with her. She is not one of the best bartenders that I've ever run across. It seems to me she picks and chooses who gives free drinks and free food to the only reason I know what was going on was because the till was and front of me register was right in front of my eyes and I could see where she put money in the till and gave change back and put the receipts and her pocket.that she presented to each customer that she chose to have them pay or not pay for their drinks and food. That's called stealing I think she should be reprimanded or fired. I will not be going back there unless I want else would wait on these besides her she does a lousy job at trying to take care of your needs as a paying customer. When we travel to Sarasota to visit family Gecko's has been our normal lunch spot. It is easy to get to off the highway and the large dining room can handle larger groups. It is a family style sports grill but occasionally some adults at the bar get a little obnoxious so be careful if you have little ones with sensitive ears. Their menu has a bit of everythingpastas, salads, sandwiches, burgers, platters, lots of appys to start with. Never had a bad meal. Servers always attentive. Wish there was more parking, the lot is pretty full and hard to get a handicap spot. Enjoy!

This is a great place for lunch or dinner. They offer a wide variety of choices and the best Ahi tuna around. You can sit back in the cocktail lounge and watch your favorite sports game or choose a booth if you prefer a more private setting. The atmosphere is casual and the food is great. You will receive service with a smile and our server Danielle was very polite and attentive to our needs. I highly recommend this if you're in the Clark Road area.

Excellent food! Good portion sizes and friendly people. Best part of the vacation, by far. We visited twice and loved it both times!

I eat here fairly regularly and you can usually be assured of good service and decent food. The menu has a nice variety and it's not too noisy except on Trivia night. Wish the lighting weren't so dark in places but other than that, I'll continue to frequent this Gecko's.

Wonderful generous portions, a large menu and enough TV monitors to watch over all of China.
Service was fast and our waiter must have done commercials for some fast-talking auto dealer. What do I like is when he promised to come back he actually did! Noise levels is commensurate with any other sports bar it's like being at a football game. I'm being sarcastic but it's the best place to take somebody you don't want to talk to. When we left at 8 there wasn't an empty seat at the huge bar meaning this is a drinking place.response / report this review -

I eat here regularly. The food is always good. The servers are attentive, courteous and competent. I enjoy the Cobb and 1992 salads, the grilled Reuben is second to none, and the have the best burgers in town. Their fish specials are delicious. Lastly, the have the best happy hour in town and the bar staff is excellent.

Food was greatserver was very courteous, but her coworker attitude was openly distasteful. In Sarasota on a mini vacation with family, we decided to have brunch here which was highly recommend. After eating our meal we requested the use of the rest room. We were told by the said coworker that "WE DO NOT HAVE ANY HERE". I took offense to her racist sarcasm and reported it to her manager.WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE HERE.

Excellent sport's bar, service and food. The Gecko salad was outstanding for 11$ 2 for one happy hour meets expectations.

Their menu is huge, almost daunting, and the prices are likewise inflated. The food was well-prepared and tasty, but not so above part as to warrant a second visit. The staff were all very friendly, and seemed happy to be there.

Great neighborhood pub with good food and prices, but what makes this restaurant better than most is the outstanding wait staff. Extremely friendly and excellent customer service. Not all Gecko's have the same wait staff. I have been to three out of the five and the Palmer Crossing has the best staff.
