Gallup is my fave park to run at. It has great loops that take you through and along the woods and brush off the river. It's also a great launch point for canoeing and kayaking

Very nice place for a fun day out. Courteous and helpful staff. Reasonable rates for the canoes and kayaks as well.

The Ann Arbor Parks and Rec department does an excellent job running the canoe canoe/kayak rental facility. It is a bummer that pools close on Labor Day in Michigan, so when we have a warm October day, it is great to be able to rent kayaks on the Huron River in Ann Arbor. The prices are fair and staff are great.

This is a great trip. Great price. Friendly staff. We put in at Argo and kayaked down the Huron to Gallup. Kayak rental includes transportation back up river.

$18 for 2 hours of 2-person kayaking was a great deal for wonderful memories with my preteen daughter. Website was very useful. There was only one family in front of us on Saturday of Labor Day weekend, late afternoon, and service was good. They will hold your driver's license or car keys as a deposit, which is a win-win so I didn't worry about those falling to the bottom of the pond. Recommend taking a ziploc bag to protect phone, but grateful mine survived fine. Nice that the sales counter also offers eyeglass/sunglass straps for just $0.50 each in a variety of colors; we bought one. Plenty of various-sized clean lifejacket sizes for us both, and choice of paddles. Plenty of friendly, knowledgeable staff. We stayed on the mostly still water, enjoying paddling close to swans, ducks, and geese, and my daughter was thrilled to see the swans eating, taking off in flight, and landing. The water wasn't too crowded, and we were able to paddle easily "upstream" a bit in the river past 2 bridges at a leisurely pace. Great option when we weren't sure about the needs for "capable swimming" for the rapids/chutes on the multiple mile journeys downstream from the Argo site.

Very nice place to go for kayaking or canoeing. The river is nice and calm, great for a leisurely float. Friendly and helpful staff.

Very nice place for a first time canoe/ kayak experience. Rates are reasonable and the water is shallow with some mini rapids that make it fun 😊 They have a free shuttle back to your car when you are done with the course. We absolutely loved it and can't wait to go again!

Very nice kayaking and canoeing place. Has small rapids that are fun to go through via kayak. Reasonable prices, the staff os friendly and very helpful. Loved kayaking here.

The park is very nice, clean and well maintained. Staff at the boat rental is always polite, but rentals are somewhat expensive.

Pretty park, nice features for walkers, skaters, cyclists, casual boaters. Boats available for rent, some food at concession stand. The only negative are the people who drive their cars and park in the picnic areas.
