Very informative museum and stops along the trails. Loved that we could bring our dog. Many tourists were disappointed that the tavern wasn't open. It would have been a great opportunity for everyone to get that part of history as well especially my children.

A great place to visit. Lots of local history. Have a chance to learn a lot. Excellent place.
The staff at the battlefield are extremely knowledgeable on the history of the battles that took place in the area. They can answer nearly any question you ma have.

Very neat place !
Call ahead before you go to make sure that the ranger will be doing the guided tour because it is definitely worth it.
The visitor building sells some really cool books too.

This is a great place to visit. With or without kids you'll find yourself entertained all while getting a quick history lesson. Very clean and new looking. The theater and its show was fantastic. The staff was very friendly helpful and accommodating. If you're ever in the area stop by and have some fun.

Great visitors center, gorgeous park unfolding on the Fort Necessity recreation. The visitors center looks VERY new and modern, with friendly rangers manning the front desk. Lots of cool history. Didn't get a chance to go to the historical Tavern museum but I plan on going there next time. Definitely recommend.

This historic battlefield has been on my Bucket list for years and never realized how close I was to it and how nice a park that it is. The Visitor's center was build in 2005 and is very modern with a great deal of exhibits and a gift shop. The park grounds are very nice and the trails are easy to navigate. There is usually a volunteer there everyday doing a living history reenactment. Once you are at the Fort site your are only about 500 yards from the Mount Washington Tavern and it is a lovely historical site too. Once you get back on The National Highway you are only about 1.2 miles away from General Braddock's grave site. This is a very nice day trip for the history buff or family.

If you love history and hiking this is definitely a must! I've been driving past this on our way to deep Creek since I was 10. Finally stopped in July, we hiked from the visitor center up to the tavern. Beautiful scenery! They also had a self guided tour so you could go to each station and hear what happened. Very cool especially if you are a history enthusiast.

A nice place to get a good sense of history and how things were during that particular time period. The visitors center here has been redone and is quite impressive. Quite a few artifacts to give a good idea of what was used in that time. Clothes, shoes, tools, weapons, ect. Once you get out of the visitors enter, there are a few trails to explore on and the actual fort along with some signs that tell you a little more in detail what occurred on this site. If your a history buff or just someone who is curious about the area, it's a neat place to go.

An absolutely wonderful site. The interpretive center is top notch and the staff very friendly and helpful. The site is beautifully well maintained and offers a great opportunity to learn about the French and Indian War. Plan on about an hour to an hour and a half to see everything and longer if you wish to hike the grounds.

A surprising display inside we stopped cause we saw a sign and thought it would be neat. Far surpassed my expectations and the Fort my goodness you don't realize how small it was till you go No wonder we surrendered. It's not a place for hours but for a quick stop it's pretty awesome.
