  I rented with Costello Management for almost 5 years in two different apartments, both in the Friendship neighborhood, and have nothing but amazing things to say about them. They are incredibly responsive and attentive to any maintenance requests, proactively communicate with tenants as needed, and maintain amazing, clean, and up-to-date properties. Their honesty and reliability for renters is top notch, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for an apartment in Pittsburgh, especially if you have pets or are planning to.

  We were new to Pittsburgh when we moved into our apartment with Costello. We have rented in several different apartment buildings throughout the United States and our experience with Costello Management was easily the best we've had. Jon and his staff are highly responsive and easy to work with. The only reason we left their apartment was to buy our own house. We were going through the house-buying process when our lease was up for renewal. We felt stressed about finding a house, so we reached out to Jon + his team to explain the scenario. They were fully supportive of us and allowed us to sign an abbreviated lease. Turns out we got the house we had put an offer in on 3 weeks later, and they worked with us to find someone new to take our lease. They are extremely fast about responding to our requests for maintenance, including send a team over on a Sunday evening when our heat turned off in the middle of winter. A fantastic, fantastic renting experience, which is hard to come by!

  My time residing in a Costello managed property was easily my best renting experience I’ve ever had. Jon and his team were super attentive, quick to respond to any requests, and above all, made me feel comfortable. The apartment was well kept, had new appliances, and many features - like in unit washer/dryer, central A/C and a gas range on the stove.
  
  As someone who was not originally from Pittsburgh, I had a super positive experience and couldn’t recommend Costello Management enough. Moving is stressful enough, and Jon and his team put my worries aside.

  Thanks to John and everyone at Costello for being helpful to us while we lived at Beacon Hill. They were nice enough to work with us when we bought a house and letting us rent the apartment out before our lease was up. The apartment was by far the nicest and most spacious that we had lived in. Maintenance requests were always handled timely and done right. Not having to pay extra pet rent was definitely a plus and not something I found anywhere else. If I have to rent again, Costello will be the first place I look. Thanks again.

  We rented with Costello Management for a little over two years. Not only did we get a beautiful apartment in a well kept, historic building, but we got such peace of mind with their staff.
  
  Communication is a huge priority of theirs and any broken appliances were attended to as soon as possible. When I was furloughed during March 2020, John Costello spoke with me directly and put my mind at ease with no late fees and a payment plan when I was ready.
  
  The only reason we left was for my partner’s out of state job. Again, they were so helpful in making sure the building was show-ready and communicative about interested folks coming to view the apartment and take over our lease. I had a family member on hospice during this process, so my mind was everywhere during the transition, but Costello was great. I felt like it was something I could take off my plate. We’ll miss you and Squirrel Hill!!
