Great place with great food. They have your standards but with a twist. For instance, their steak & cheese is one of my favorites. What makes it different is there use of jalapeno peppers. I've always had good service their too. Foggy Rock is on my regular rotation of places I like to hit while in the high country.

If you're looking for a unique experience with good food, you're better off going up the road to Outback. Had to wait 1hr 15 min, after 1 hr asked where we were in line and told we were called 30 minutes ago even though one of my party was at the bar & one was outside & neither heard our name called. We were told we had to wait 20 more minutes. Was seated at an unclean table that was sticky with food on the ground under the table with no napkins (unlike every other table) and no silverware. Drink orders were wrong, food was sub-par, service was slow, and waitress & hostess were rude. Plenty of other venues to try than wasting your time here.

Think of Foggy Rock as a classy local pub. Interesting menu and very friendly service. We only had sandwiches, but the Chicken Avocado Melt and the Cheesy Beef Brisket on Texas Toast (daily special) were both very tasty and reasonably priced. Only complaint was that the fountain Coke was flat. The Lemon Blueberry Cake must have been good, because it was sold out when we tried to order.

We stopped because it was handicapped accessible. We were greeted immediately and seated quickly. We both ordered from the daily special menu. The vegetables in the salad were very fresh and chicken perfectly grilled. My soup and sandwich were delicious. It was our first visit but it will not be our last.

Found this little gem by accident right from the start the staff was super friendly and got us sat right away, our waiter was amazing and never missed a beat. The food I can only say fantastic the burgers were cooked perfectly and the fries were nice and hot. I will definitely make the 45 minute drive at least once a week just to try the rest of their menu, if your in the area I hope you will try this wonderful little eatery.

This place was out of this world. When you order a burger and fries at a restaurant, either the burger is good or the fries are good, never both. Well this is not the case here. My entire meal was amazing. The 5 other people with me all agreed, this is a place you surely don't want to skip. Absolutely amazing staff as well.

Service was very prompt. Nice atmosphere. I got the trio slider and all three were excellent. The egg salad had a smokey flavor to it, maybe from the Gouda? Really good. Tuna was fresh, so was the chicken.
I also had a great ceasar salad, the lettuce was fresh and dressing just right.
    Dog-friendly patio.

Discovered this gem while visiting from out of town for a few days. So thrilled to find a restaurant that has GOOD, healthy and gluten-free options! Often I feel like my options are so limited and I feel cheated when having to order GF, but not here at all. I've had the Trout Trout Trout dish and the Bourbon bacon glazed pork chop and more (I can't remember all of them right now, but I've come for every meal!) LOVED EVERY BITE!!! Absolutely amazing.

Not so good. They Overbooked the reservations. Then decided to try to split our party into seperate tables. Really ? Brought out the wrong food. 36 years in this business. And I know a cluster whenI see one. On a side note the food was not bad. Just the wrong food. Service was below standards.

My wife and I had dinner here one evening while staying in Blowing Rock and everything was very good. It was fairly crowded, but it didn't take long for us to get seated. We both enjoyed our meals - I had a cheese steak and my wife had the bourbon pork chop. They also have a great selection of beers - including Sexual Chocolate, which is hard to find. We would definitely eat here again next time we visit Blowing Rock.

Great food and atmosphere! We came to Foggy Rock after a rather frustrating day (car trouble), and we had nothing but pleasant surprises. The wait wasn't terribly long, even though we went at dinnertime (and a local brewery was doing free beer tastings); we got a booth, which is always nice with two little ones; the food came quickly, and was delicious; and the staff was friendly, courteous, and professional. The bill, too, was very reasonable. I hope we can come back here - I really like this place!

The food and service were amazing, and they were fairly busy. The fried green tomato sliders, chicken sandwich, chocolate cake, and lemon crepes were delicious. It was also very kid friendly which was a plus. We will definitely return when we are in the area.
