This place is a local gem! We absolutely loved the food but the service and atmosphere are the cherries on top. They use organic chicken at no extra charge and can turn any burger into a veggie one. Loved the homemade fried pickles and fried mozzarella! The basement has games like ping pong and shuffleboard and they have board games up for grabs too.

My favorite bar. I don't go to App state any more; but, I love dropping in when I'm visiting the area. They've got literal fishbowl cocktails, really good burgers, and a good atmosphere. Downstairs has giant jenga, pool, and pin ball. It's really a great place to spend the evening.

Cool spot! I had a burger, hubs had the shrimp tacos; happy plates. 😊 Played ping pong downstairs while we waited with a couple of local beers that were quite good too.

I used to love this place for food and atmosphere on a weekend night. But lately they have arrogantly betrayed their loyal customers by turning themselves in a private event venue. They would rather sell it out to a fraternity or sorority for the entire weekend than be welcoming to the public for some weekend beers and karaoke. Also their open hours seem to constantly change and they are closed when their posted operating hours say differently. Why would any bar-goer want to go to a place that rarely wants to be open for them?

Are you kidding me? This place was awesome. It was recommended To Us by our niece who graduated from Appalachian State and we were up there on vacation. The beer and wine selection is amazing. The food options are unbelievable and Incredibly tasty. The place has pool and darts and other stuff downstairs as well. I would highly recommend anyone in the Boone area to visit Galileo's and try their food and beer
