This is actually a great park to explore and camp at. There are a lot of activities in the park, and they had a ton of information about nearby attractions, local events, history, science, etc! We stayed at the primitive camp site, which is right across from a spring that was fun to swim in. It had a water spicket at the site, and the showers were clean and even had skylights so you can see the sky and trees above you, which was beautiful. Only problem was the campsites are very close together, and they had bright lights on all night. If you are able, maybe reserve your site and the one right next door :p

I first visited the Caverns when I was in elementary school and when we moved closer to the Caverns, it was a place that I wanted to go back and visit again. This last visit was amazing and well worth your time. We took the guided tour into the Caverns and this is usually something that you only get to see in magazines or on websites. Going through each of the "rooms" added new features that we had not previously seen each one adding to the "wow" factor to the Caverns. Once the guided tour is over, there are multiple nature paths you can take to get back to the museum/store. Well worth the trip if you have the time.

Beautiful place! The caverns are amazing, as is the Bluff Trail! Camped in the horse camp area and it was beautiful and peaceful. The swimming hole, Blue Spring hole, was very muddy looking, for some reason. Will definitely camp here again!

Went to renew wedding vows in the wedding room at the Caverns and spent two days camping. Bill Sellers was our guide during the renewal and he was absolutely awesome! He was funny, informative and took time to answer our questions. We had a wonderful time, Thank you so much Bill! Park Rangers, Frank, Billy, Chris, Kelly and Amanda were also very helpful and kind. The Blue Spring swimming hole was a lot of fun. The only problem we had was when you took a shower the shower heads sprayed different ways and when someone else took a shower at the same time, the water would go from warm to cold and you had to wait for it to get warm again. Not a huge deal just a little irritating, but I would definitely go back again!

I approve. Good place to go. This is a hidden gem in the country. Lots of privacy, shady area, and the staff is awesome. This place is far off the beaten path and just an awesome place. Highly recommended that you take the cavern tour. It's worth the money, and not really expensive.
When you're in the area eat downtown on State Road 90 at Jim's buffet. You will enjoy it. Home cooked food and a reasonable price. Buffet style or order from the kitchen .response / report this review
