the food was delicious but served in very small portions. the service is slow, we waited about 2 hours for our food and the restaurant wasn't very packed. The portion sizes are not worth the price. I paid about $45 for a tiny slab of steak less than the size of two sticks of butter. If the food and appetizers weren't so delicious i would give this place 3 stars.

Still remember the lobster I had from 5 years ago. Amazing food. Great atmosphere. We got engaged there. They made special menus for us for the occasion. Would love to come back!

Great food, excellent service, plan to spend around $100 -$200 per person, including 20% tip(they deserve it). We went for our 10 year anniversary and my wife loved it.

Great experience. Very upscale place with beautiful views of Boulder and the front range. Food was great and unlike many other upscale places I have been, they weren't stingy and actually gave us a number of small appetizers and deserts to go with our main course.

When it comes to pretentious dining, this is where you go. I mean, you're going to pay a lot of money for this and I'm sure you know that before you go. I can't really say whether it was worth it or not because I don't dine on this upscale of a level, usually. Everything was completely professional there was no slip up anywhere. Everything tastes fine.

I wish there was a "yeah, but" rating. The view is 5 star. The food was excellent, but the service (which should be amazing) was actually pretty bad for a party of 14 in a private dining section. I actually had to pull the manager aside a few times Disappointing for such a great place.

My husband and I had our family dinner here after our wedding in Boulder. The food was amazing and their staff was so professional. We worked with Annie, their event coordinator, who helped us create a menu for our dinner and was very responsive to all of our questions. I highly recommend the Flagstaff House!

We held our event at the Flagstaff house a few weeks ago. The location is beautiful, the food was great and the staff was very nice and helpful- particularly in planning. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend my friends or family have an event there. At the end of the day, my husband and I felt taken advantage of. For our group of 47, we paid full menu prices for food and wine and the servers poured more than we had requested. When we spoke about our problems with a manager, he apologized and offered a gift card ( we don't even live in Colorado). I just didn't get the impression he cared in the least about how we felt or in resolving it in a way that felt fair- he just kept apologizing to get me off the phone.

Wonderful view of the mountains during the day and the lights of Boulder at night. Service was great, many intermezzo courses and delicious food. They gave a custom printed menu with congratulations for our anniversary, and a pretty dessert. Scallop appetizer was great, and pickled pear cocktail although most people order wine. Expect to spend $200+. Free valet parking. Attached picture is one of the intermezzo courses, a stuffed money bag

My husband and I had dinner here because the head chef "Chris" had just recently won Chopped. Our favorite TV show for Cooking is Chopped. Chef Chris was amazing we had the most amazing upscale experience in which we felt like royalty. Unbelievable experience for special occasions. Once you eat here and appreciate fine dining you will see why Chef Chris won chopped.

Very nice upscale restaurant. Very pricey but a great place for a special evening. They serve little trays of food complimentary of the chef between courses that are very good. The views are spectacular from almost anywhere in the restaurant. Would recommend checking weather conditions before heading up flagstaff mountain however in the event of snow and/or ice. It's a very steep ascent.

My family and I have enjoyed every experience we have had at the Flagstaff over the last ten plus years. The food, service and ambiance have always been an excellent experience. The service all the way down the line to the valet driver is excellent!

You will be impressed by the magnificent view, but what you will remember is how delectable the food and wine were. The Flagstaff House has been the benchmark restaurant by which Boulder's fine dining scene has been measured for over 40 years. Chef Mark Monette's talent renders any efforts to recommend specific dishes comical, because no matter what you order the tastes will leap off the plate and into your mouth. The only advice I dare to venture is to go early or late, in hopes of getting a table along the wall of windows.

Loved it!! Just visiting for the weekend and wanted to do a nice meal - chose Flagstaff House mainly for the view but ended up thrilled by the entire experience. Fantastic menu and classic feel, but not at all pretentious. Entrées were great, but all the extra touches and friendly service truly made the meal. Highly recommend!
