Beautiful traditional setting and dinner:. Prime rib and Yorkshire pudding and creamed spinach. Excellent service.
Beautiful & Elegance restaurant.. great services & @Foods.. but very PRICY$$$$
I have been dining at Five Crowns for about 50 years. I always liked forward to an evening there and celebrating special occasions with friends and family. I looked forward to last night and celebrating my dear friend’ s 75th Birthday. I won’t return it was such a disappointment
We had not been to 5 crowns for many years but went recently for an anniversary. The surroundings were as lovely as we remembered, and the service great, but the food was only good, and I tried something that was new, the brickle steak, which turned out to be rather poor tasting. However, we still had a lovely evening!
We had our wedding here and Alison and all of the staff at Five Crowns were truely awesome. They are organized, professional, and friendly. All of our guests could not stop telling us how amazing the food was. They are very reasonably priced for the area and all that you are able to get and the venue is truely beautiful and unique. If you are looking for great food, a great experience and a beautiful venue that is not the same old ballroom I highly recommend Five Crowns.
P.S. If you sign up for their rewards before your wedding you end up with hundreds of points to use towards dining at any Lawry's location. Which is a nice little bonus. 😉
We were here to celebrate my in-laws 65th wedding anniversary. The service was very good tonight and the food exceptional. My in-laws received complimentary champagne and English Triffle dessert. The Five Crowns made our evening very special
Attentive without overbearing. Food was excellent. Best old fashioned I'd ever had.
Five Crowns is owned by Lawry's. Same great prime rib! Expect good service, and high quality food and drinks. All of the food is excellent, but it's hard not to get the prime rib.
Pretty decent happy hour. You can get oysters for $1 a piece. Which would be great if I liked oysters. My friend and I shared a pizza and the oxtail allotting. Both are good, but I would order the oxtail allotting every time. The fries were also really delicious. The service was great. My only compliant is parking! Ouch! It was about $9! to valet or park in the parking structure.
Best Prime Rib in California. Little known fact, the bartender is completely beholden to the old Speakeasy-Pre-Prohibition format of building cocktails. Best Black Manhattan I ever had.
We got married here in 2016 everyone was a joy to work with, and made everything perfect. The space has a gorgeous garden with a greenhouse, and was remodled in early 2016. The food is always amazing. Recently we went back for their annual Derby Day Bourbon Party always a good time.
We love Five Crowns and Side Door so much, we're getting married there in the fall. The food and cocktails are great but the service and ambiance are what make this place really special. And I love hanging out in an old historic house-turned-restaurant (some of the servers have fun ghost stories). The holidays are one of the best times to go – we love the carolers.
I really like the interior of the restaurant. I've been to London and it reminds me of the old world pubs you often find. The service was very good as well. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and very helpful. The food was another story. We can start with menu. I was really looking forward to the duck breast which is listed on the online menu. My wife was going to get the butternut squash soup. Neither one was available at the restaurant. We ordered the Pride of the Crowns salad. For $12, I expected more than just a hand grab of lettuce careless tossed on a plate with bacon chunks strewn about. There was no finesse. Worse than that, the salad came out with no Walnuts. When we asked about it, the restaurant had apparently run out. They tried to sneak an incomplete salad by us. They didn't comp the salad either. I ordered the Crown Cut prime rib. It was a bit on the tough slide, cut on a slant so one side was far larger than the other and it came out room temperature. We ordered the souffle when we ordered our dinner. Once we had completed our dinner we waited another 30 minutes before the souffle came out. Did they forget to put the order in? For the price we ended up paying, these mistakes are inexcusable.
If you are looking to impress your date this is the place to visit. The many course entrees and butler style service makes you feel like royalty. All the staff are highly attentive. I will never forget the shear enjoyment looking into my dates eyes as we finished our main course and ordered dessert. A very pleasurable experience that I nor will my date will ever forget. If it is in your budget schedule this 5 star restaurant as your next destination for a mouth watering adventure. I would recommend valet as self parking is not that accessible.
