What a place!!! The price seemed a little high at first, even with a meal included. But, after having a fantastic dinner, I was starting to think it may actually be worth it. Then the show was amazing, and it was TOTALLY worth it. The set/scenes were well planned and organized, with phenomenal actors that could sing and dance with the best of 'em. Real pros, as good as any I've ever seen. We saw Newsies, and I'm definitely going to be back for another show. Bravo to the Fireside owners and management, their staff, and all the actors. Thanks for a great night.
Food was terrific. Service outstanding. The show was done quite well and the actors are so gifted. Very entertaining and a wonderful way to spend an evening out. Cost of dinner and show are great value.
Food - excellent! Acting/singing/dancing - excellent! Sound quality - just ok. I'm an amateur sound tech running sound for my church and I couldn't help but notice some of the ring in the mix and the lack of solid bass in the overall sound package. Also, the fill monitors serving the area where I was seated left me wishing for more. Otherwise, a nice first experience here as well as a first experience with dinner theater and theater in the round.
If you have never been to the Fireside you are missing an experience. Starting with the delicious buffet with a large assortment to choose from. And now that you have eaten from the finest to the fullest, walk it off in the assortment of shops that they have. Then enjoy theater in the round, where every seat is a good seat. Enjoy the acting, the singing, the dancing where even the aisles are a stage. Truly a memorable experience you will not soon forget.
Fireside is wonderful theater experience. We are season ticket holders in our second year and have seen a series of wonderful plays. This comment comes after 10 or 12 years as Marriott Lincolnshire season ticket holders which are also great plays. But we moved out of the Chicago suburban area west to Poplar Grove and we're delighted to find the offerings at Fireside. In addition, we're absolutely delighted and enjoy the meal selections with the multiple variety of foods offered and the excellent presentation. The food is delicious and top-notch! We heartily recommend the Fireside Dinner Theater!
First visit. Food and service was great and so was the show. I am walker-dependent and cannot walk without it, but they kept wanting to take my walker away from me. If I needed to go to the bathroom or there was a fire, that is problematic. Since The Fireside is less than an hour from our home, we will definitely go back. Wish there was an option to see the show without a meal.
We have been coming to the Fireside for over 10 years. It is always an enchanting evening. The meal is always an elegant 5 course meal. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly snd the shows are very entertaining. The Fireside is located in Fort Atkinson Wisconsin about 2 hours from Chicago. The cost is about 80 dollars per person. That includes the dinner and the show. There are hotels nearby which make for a nice weekend getaway.
We've been coming to Fireside Dinner Theater for many years and often share this time with family and for special occasions. We always stick with the featured menu - it never disappoints. No need to even consider other options. Their choices of musicals must be spot on for a large range of people because I'm always I interested in at least 3 performance offerings per season. And finally, the shows are always wonderful.
Food, great! Performances, great! Leisure time fun and family bonding time, great. Win, Win, Win!
Very nice dinner playhouse. Poor handicapped parking and access, spread out like a mall food court. Needs more restrooms. Average food quality, excellent service. Exceptional performances. GOOD value for the money. Great Web page for booking.
Another great experience. Although this was not one of my favorite shows it was really good . The only suggestion I would have is a personal preference. The meals tend to be heavy in the onion department which my wife doesn't like and the stuffing always has mushrooms in which I don't like. I wish there were some plain options available Like a basic iceberg lettuce salad and plain breaded and roasted pork chop. But again those are a personal preference as far as what we enjoy. A big Thank You the the staff at the Fireside for another great evening. We are season ticket holders so we see you for Elvis.
The lunch meal was delicious. "Back to the 50's" was excellent. All the singers and the band were outstanding. Brought back memories of that era of our lives. Fun time was had by all.
Great shows! Great food! Great gift shops. I have never been disappointed! I have been there several times!! Never anything else but enjoyable.
The food is always good. The atmosphere pleasant and relaxing. The stage is small, but over all the years they have been doing shows, they have perfected getting the most out of the space which makes you feel very involved in the performances. It's a great place to escape for a few hours and lose yourself in the experience.
A thoroughly enjoyable way to celebrate a birthday! Plenty of parking. Great food with plenty of options. Friendly, attentive waitstaff, no delays, even though hundreds of meals were served with military planning and precision.
After the meal, there's plenty of time and places to shop before the show. The professional performance was amazing. Vocals spot on. Actors enthusiastic. And, all with limited scenery and space. Add costumes, and you transcend to a tropical island, years ago and thousands of miles away in the "South Pacific."
My husband and I just saw South Pacific. I have seen the play a few times at different dinner theatres, but this was by far the best production. Our food was delightful and our waitress was extremely attentive. Voices and dancing were wonderful. I can't wait for the next production. One word - AMAZING.
