One of the best things about Wisconsin is Elegant Farmer's pie baked in a paper bag. There are many varieties, based on the classic apple pie. In addition, there is a small sandwich counter, where you can give their delicious baked ham a try, amongst other delectables.
The store includes cheeses, fresh fruits, many varieties of homemade apple sauce, in mason jars, and all sorts of delights for your kitchen and table. Don't miss it!response / report this review -

This place is great, so much to do and see, including a gift shop. Wonderful sweet treats and other fresh foods are available for your taste buds, especially the brown bag pies. Apple orchard and pumpkin patch are ready in the fall.

Who doesn't like coming here? This is a good place to come for multiple reasons. If you are in the mood to support local business, this is certainly the place to visit. If you want a old Wisconsin world vibe, check it out. Looking for unique food, I would visit here. Prices are a little higher for some stuff but well worth it between the product and the experience. The staff (Gals) are gems, I have been treated great every visit here since I have been a kid. It does get very busy during certain seasons but being able to grab some chili and sit at the few tables they have there is my go to.

Any time I come across this area of Wisconsin I visit Elegant Farmer. They boast unique items such as strawberry butter, an assortment of sandwiches, and of course pie cooked in a paper bag. There are places around the market where one can sit down and eat. The employees are always very friendly, and seem to be concerned with the customers experience. Very elegant place. I would definitely recommend visiting.

Always a great time. Apple cider donuts are yummy. Apple pie in a bag is the best! Apple picking is so much fun for the kids and adults.

Bought a frozen chicken pot pie, apple pie in a bag, mini Door County cherry pie in a bag and some spinach. Chicken pot pie was decent, a little thick with a bit too much crust for our liking. Both pies were good, although I liked the cherry better. Both were too sweet for our liking. Apple pie crust has lots of butter and sugar and essentially hardens and caramelizes along the edges. If that is your thing it is the pie for you. Apples had great texture and flavor.

Last time we were here was 7 years ago before we moved to Florida. Wanted our youngest daughter to experience it, so we came to town for the weekend to go here. Great experience, apple trees are so beautiful and full of Apple's. One of a kind place

This place is really nice! I really like that you can pick pumkins & apples! The only reason I didn't give it a complete five stars is because the corn maze was really difficult. It had no clues in how to get through it, and the "map" was not helpful at all. Other than that it was clean and the parking was very well organized.

Don't waste your money on the piesexpensive pies! They taste nowhere close to what they charge for a pie. The crust has a little bit of an odd flavor.maybe from the paper bag. I found nothing special about the apple piesure it was good, but a lot of people can bake a pretty good apple pie. I tried the strawberry rhubarb apple pie. For their pricesthere should have been a lot of rhubarb and strawberries. The strawberry was limited to the pie saucehardly any rhubarbby the wayapples and rhubarb don't go great together. They put apples in all the pieskinda like those juice companies that flavor all their juices with apple to make it cheaper. They probably have good caramel apples, but there are better places to get pie.

Neat old time type place. Fresh bread, bakery, pies, etc. Supposed local honey and products. You should go at least once to say you did, even if it's not your thing.

I'm a Washingtonian, but every 4th of July I'm come to Wisconsin to see some of my family. I almost come every time here, I love the food! But the reason I only rated 4 stars was because the last time I came here, the staff were not nice neither mean. They were kinda quiet, but over all the place is great!

The pumpkin patch is a sham, but I won't dock a star for it. They just buy pumpkins and leave them out in the field for the kids. The make your own carmel apple is cool. The pick your own apples is okay, but not realistic. If you really pick apples you have to pick the tree completely clean (not just grab the easy ones.) The store is amazing and earns them the full five stars. So many things you don't see elsewhere. You can't leave without an apple pie (which is the only one even close to the one my mom makes. )

Been going to elegant farmer since I was a small child.
Always good food.
But today is the day that final straw broke the camels back.
For the last couple of years I have noticed a major set of attitudes behind the counter where the sandwiches and soups are sold. As time has progressed, so have the attitudes and severity of them.
But nothing compares to what happened today.
Every one of the women had attitudes today. Screaming at customers, refusing to serve certain customers, swearing amongst themselves and just general un-acceptable behavior from people that service the general public. It was clearly obvious that my wife was being refused service because of her racial appearance. The women behind the counter yelled at her and refused her service when she asked for a large cup of soup.
To say that I wanted to reach across the counter and punch that old bag right in the mouth was an understatement. But as a person who doesn't discriminate and who tries to show respect in times like this, I kept my cool, kept my mouth shut and just kept moving through the line.
Now I'm at home and sitting behind a computer writing this review, I'm going to offer up a piece of my mind.
All of you angry old hags that work behind that counter, get a clue!
You are supposed to greet ALL customers with respect and courteousness. Check your attitudes at the door! It's your job!
If I ever go to shop at Elegant Farmer again, I am going call out every single one of you hags in front of all the customers just so you can get a taste of how rude and inconsiderate you really are.
What I really hope is
That somebody that has authority over all of you, reads this review and walks in and fires your asses and throws you out in the parking lot in front of the customers. That would be fitting.
Oh, I just happen to have a video of this whole ordeal today that I can post up on YouTube. Hope your all giant FAIL sensations.
