It's a nice place. If you like Mexican food there's a lot within walking distance. Some of the rooms don't have windows that can open and they feel very damp. Good breakfast in the morning. Safe area. Overall not a bad choice. There is free street parking. In the off season (winter months) there's plenty of spots. I'm not sure what the summer looks like.

Very clean and well kept. They had a nice outside area with a fireplace, pool, and hot tub. The rooms were excellent and I enjoyed my stay.

The hotel itself was fine. Nothing spectacular, but nothing to complain about. Their free breakfast was better than most, but the problem I had was the location. It's not like I didn't know Old Town was a nightmare to get in and out of, but I did forget. If you are visiting San Diego to see old town, this is a great choice. Staff was friendly.

This is a nice Marriott tucked in to Old Town San Diego. It's close to public transportation and they have free breakfast. The room we had was really big and roomy!

Beautiful exterior, great location, friendly staff, good size breakfast area, nice corner market. Hot tub and pool are wonderful. Rooms are just average, internet spotty, and you can't even smoke on your own balcony. I know this is California, but come on already. Smokers would like to enjoy their stay a little too. Don't make the mistake of ordering from the Mexican/pizza shop (trust me, they are the same place) the staff insists on pimping out by slipping fliers under your door every other day. I paid $25 for two burritos and a side of rice, which came an hour later without cutlery, a plate, or the rice.

The elevator to the garage is a little unpredictable and was far from our room. Not too far of a walk overall though. We just had the last room in the hallway. The doors creak a little and shower was showed it's age in the details but for the most part things were in good shape. Parking spaces are a little small unless you back in to certain spaces. You'll know it when you see 'em. Breakfast is the typical choices, eggs, bacon (not my favorite), cereal, waffles Etc. The housekeeping staff were friendly. The courtyard is very pretty and the location is a block from old town. Very good for shopping and browsing.

Hotel was clean and more than large enough. We were there during a busy week but I think even if it hadn't been busy the way they hotel is set up there's a lot of potential turn offs for each room. The courtyard was always pretty busy so I turned down a room on the first floor facing the very center of the courtyard for a second floor room facing the street. I definitely expected there to be more street noise then there was though so I'm glad I opted for that change (even though I ended up with a double queen instead of a king room). It would've been nice to have a hook or bar in the bathroom to hang up towels. All the patios throughout the building are nice but could lead to people hanging out in them right by your window at night. Elevators are kind of slow and the breakfast buffet area is always packed full in the morning which can be a bit of a nuisance when you just want to get out of the front door. I never checked out the pool but I did like all the courtyard seating that was available even though the couches had probably seen better days.

We may stay here again if in the area but we'll definitely check in earlier to ensure getting a room away from noisy areas.

Decent hotel. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was ok but the same every day out of my 6 day stay. Sausage and eggs every day. Hotel is conveniently located in old Town with plenty to do. Highway entrance very close. Room was clean. Good hotel.

Great service! The entire staff was friendly and very catering. Just like any hotel with many rooms, cleanliness is never perfect in the room.. the shower/tub could have been refreshed. The location was in perfect spot near old town not too close and not too far. Despite the cleanliness, I would stay here again.

It's a good price, nice basic rooms, and it's got free breakfast. It's in a good location too. The parking is a little problem though. I had to pay $20 extra dollars to park in the hotels under garage, but it was really hard to find a spot. The parking spaces were hard to fit into even for smaller cars. The staff was friendly and helpful. And once again the location is very convenient if you're going to Old Town.

Overall good experience. Rooms are clean. The guy who checked us in seemed a bit overwhelmed and not very welcoming.
