We’ve always had a pleasant experience. At the beginning of the season it was calm and fun, toward the end it gets crazy and hectic. Tractor rides are great, apples are delicious and the pumpkins are great! Only reason I’m removing a star was because our last visit there, the lines were horribly long and I felt that they could prepare better for large crowds.

I always have a great experience at Erwin's, and this is my fourth year coming back! The donuts and cider are delicious, despite the long lines to get to them! Today I felt compelled to leave a review, though, and not for a good reason. The lady taking our order at the counter, Jerrie I believe, was extremely rude when we said our order was wrong. When we told her she had our order wrong for the THIRD time, she brought it wrong again the FOURTH time and slammed the package at the counter. I understand she's taking orders from lots of people, but 2, 2, 2 and 1 is not a difficult order, considering they only have 4 flavors. She was saying we kept changing the order on her, which was absolutely not true. I even told her which donuts she should remove from the package to make the order correct, and she still didn't get that right. After she slammed our donuts on the counter, my husband and I just decided to walk away with the WRONG order, mind you. Leaving frustrated when you go out for donuts on a beautiful fall day is not what I had in mind, nor was being treated sarcastically or condescendingly. I will not be going back this season, unfortunately. Too many cider Mills out there for me to spoil a nice Sunday.

Workers were extremely nice and good prices! Their donuts were extremely good (especially salted caramel). Downside, after we ordered donuts, we went back in for cider and the line took almost 20 minutes, in addition to their corn maze being closed.

Although the line looks long on a weekend, the line to buy cider and donuts go by pretty quickly. Note, cash only. The spiced cinnamon sugar donuts are slightly chewy and tasty to the last bite. I personally prefer the hot cider, especially if the day is cold. In addition to having cider for sale, there's also a petting zoo, corn maze, and u-pick apple on the site. So there's a little bit of something for everyone.

My favorite place in the entire town! While it definitely gets busy on weekends from the middle of September to the end of the season, there's not much the staff can do to make the cider mill wait any faster than it already is, as they have a person on every register cranking out donut orders. The owners are even kind enough to let the line finish up after 7 when they close! The only reason you wouldn't get donuts is if you get in line at 6:45 when the line is already out by the tent. A lot of the Apple crop was lost this year due to the spring frost so that's why the kid activities and cider mill goods had costs added/raised. I agree that the parking lot is a mess but even if employees were directing the traffic, there's no guarantee people would actually listen to where they were told to park. I mean, I've seen people park right in front of the main entrance, blocking the path directly to the U-pick, cider mill, and even the porta potties. Overall, Erwin's is doing the best they can to satisfy as many customers as possible, so if you want a fun and hassle free experience, read. All. Of. The. Signs. That they have posted in the mill. They give you warning that you can't exchange donuts after they've left the counter, that they don't accept cards (only cash or checks), and that animals are not allowed in the cider mill. You can't really expect them to bend the rules for you and not any one else in line. Also, professional advice, if you like caramel apples ($3.25), you can get a queens apple sundae for $4 and it's literally a bowl of apple slices with fresh hot caramel, peanuts (optional), whip cream, and a cherry. The staff will even give you extra nuts or cherries if you ask. Cheers!

So friendly! There was a long line to enter the store, but it went pretty quickly. The cider and donuts are so delicious! The price for u-pick apples we're a little high-due to losing crops this year. I suggest going as early as you can for the u-pick because they go FAST! The picking starts at 9 AM. We got there at about 10:30 and it was difficult filling our peck because the stash was getting depleted. There are animals and fun activities for the kids too.

What a great orchard! Not only are the apples and cider the best but the owners are fabulous people to work for! Very kind and compassionate! Weekends do get a little crazy but it's the only orchard that I know of where you can take a wheel chair group into the orchard (only during the week).

Such a great experience! They have so many varieties of apples to pick. The employees were super friendly. The hay ride was fun. The cider and donuts were absolutely amazing. They only take cash or check, so be sure to have some when you go.

Today I visited this orchard for the first time. My husband and I are fall freaks and start the season's activities quite early. We started with the only open orchard we could find and it happened to be Erwins! The donuts were the best I've ever had, and we have sampled quite a few from other local cider mills. They were soft and fresh, and had a good amount of cinnamon. They give you 14 donuts when you order a dozen, and they're reasonably priced! The cider was also great, a little tart, but we like it that way. My only complaint is that they don't take credit or debit, but there is an ATM on site. Make sure to take out cash before you get there, to avoid fees! So worth the drive, can't wait to come back.

Fun. The lines mid-October on a weekend are CRAZY for getting donuts/cider or for apple picking, but they actually move pretty fast, and they do a good job of making the general atmosphere fun while you wait (free: kids can climb on giant hay bales, live music going, a john deer tricycle course). For extra cost (tickets), they had some inflatable hungry hippo thing for kids that looked pretty fun and a couple other inflatable things, plus a petting zoo (not sure if there was a charge for that), horse riding, etc. You get to ride a trailer pulled by a tractor to get to the apples or pumpkin patch. Everything tasted great!

First off, I've been coming here for years since I was a little kid. And I'm now 25. The orchard closes for u-pick at 6, and I work till 4:30 in Livonia. Then I have to sit through rush hour traffic to try and get to the orchard. Well, this year I'm supposed to meet my mom, sister and niece out there after I rushed and got my gf on the way. Once I get there, my mom, sister, and niece had already bought two bags and are out there picking apples. I told them this, and they wouldn't let me on the tractor. They said I needed to pay. They had me call them 'to prove' someone was out there waiting for me. And after I told the lady I have been coming there for years since I was a little kid, she told me, "I've been working here 12 years, do you remember me?" She was very rude by saying that. I really wanted to say, I've been coming here longer than you've been working here. Then she said, "it's the policy I have to follow, and I'm sure your job had policies you have to follow." True, there are policies I have to follow, but sorry I don't know your companies policies, and I told you my scenario. Did they think I was going to steal four apples in my tiny short pockets? My family has been going to that orchard for nearly 30 years. So finally after much hassle, they let me on to go help them pick. My mother had knee surgeries and has a bad back, and they were giving me a hard time about going out there to help them.
I've always bragged about this orchard to everyone and how I think their cider and donuts are better than most, but after this incident, I don't think I really want to come back ever again. I'll make sure to spread the word on how they treat people that come back year after year.
PS. The tractor driver Darrel was very nice compared to the other driver that was there that day.
