Sat here waiting over 3 hours for an appointment at 2 pm and currently am still waiting. The people at the front desk were eating food and didn’t really check what they were doing. The doctors left for lunch as patients sat here in the waiting room for a simple consultation. This is very irritating
The ECMC psychiatric ward is three meals away from looking like season 2 Horror Story ward. The doctors over prescribe the meds that's causes insurance company's to drop the medication and starts a investigation of abuse. I can go on and on,but that whole hospital is under investigation. There are really 2 good doctors on this ward. The rest.. Well just stay away from ecmc.
On an afternoon when the ER was "buzzing" both my wife and I were treated promptly, professionally and with utmost courtesy. A wonderful team that works seamlessly under trying conditions. We left impressed.
Got finger amputated. They fixed it but it took 6 hours and the nurse said it doesn't "look bad" and shrugged off pain. Just because I managed to attach it together and put it on ice doesn't mean its "not that bad".
Kinda disgusting, not cleaned, they refused to give me water or food even after I finished my tests for long enough to cause a severe headache and nausea which they blamed on head trauma which my primary later said there was none. I ended up asking to sign myself out against professional advice because I had no confidence in their ability and when I asked to do so of the 2 doctors I had seen neither showed up in with the paperwork. Instead they sent in a man with tattoos, quite the muscular build and the most" I'm trying to be intimidating" look ive ever seen. He informed me that I could die if I left which no one had told me and when I later asked my primary as well as a PA they said their was little to no chance and no patient should be told they could go to sleep and not wake up with such odds. What really amazed me is that by staying there they thought I was better with my vitals being checked every 2 hours by some nurse instead of being checked every half hour by my parents throughout the night with all vitals and proper nourishment. Really quite the horrible business if you ask me.
I have been here since 7/25/17. It is now 8/1/17. I have been told for 3 days that I'm going home. Yet here I sit waiting yet another day. It's bad enough to be told you're going home and not. But it's even worse when the staff is to cowardly to tell me themselves. They leave it for the innocent nurses to do. Communications in this place sucks
All these bad reviews certainly don't match my experience. I have had nothing but excellent care, and My nurses Justin, Amanda, and Lynn on the night shift were awesome. yes, I did have to wait for surgery, but it is a trauma center, and they are busy. I received excellent care from caring professionals.
Dirty, unsafe, and jaded staff from working in the ghetto. Came in for severe facial lacerations from a fall. Was sent from suburban, unfortunately. The surgeon was fantastic, did a great job, very nice, please note that. However After having my face literally torn open, I was sent home without a single thing to help me sleep through the night. I didn't want a script, pills, anything. Just something along the lines of the care suburban was taking for me. Nothing. "You only have a cut, and we sure don't give painkillers for that." They treated me like a drug addict. I was up all night in pain, they wouldn't even give me my antibiotics. So now 15 hours later (I was supposed to start taking these immediately and every 6 hours) I still have no antibiotic or ointment, wouldn't even prescribe Motrin, and they refused to give me anything there for antibiotics. And they sure as hell booted me out of there as quick as they could. I bet if their face was torn open they'd be given a mild painkiller. No wonder your hospital has two stars. There were fights in the waiting room, where they sent me to wait, even though they knew I was being transferred. They actually yelled at me to go sit in the middle of the fight while I was pouring blood. No security AT ALL. black ladies beating on each other. I'm pouring blood and the jackass in front of me is complaining about his god damn aspirin and the guy at the counter completely ignored me (now I'm kneeling on the ground) to have an aspirin conversation with this guy. I'd rather die than go back there. This hospital needs to go or get moved further into the fruit belt to keep everyone where they need to be. You should be ashamed.
Terrible place to be if you need help for mental health I highly recommend not to go there for help they stick you in a room with all different people very dangerous the staff is awfull they lie to the patients and very mean to these people who are there for help. gave it one star but It doesn't even deserve that.Stay away
Awful awful service especially in the psychiatric emergency room. Awful environment for patients that are trying to get help. Get a new system to help people not put them in a worse environment. I will never go there for any services.
Wow. There's not one good review on the cpep psych unit that should tell you something right there. To be honest though you're better off just getting help from a therapist or someone you trust or friends. This place makes the situation worse. The psych dept doesn't know how to treat ppl who need help so you're better off just looking into other options. The medical part though is okay here though. I never had an issue with the primary medical just the psych part. I only went once and I'll never go back even if i wanted to kill myself I'd go to anyone else before here. If you really need to go somewhere I'd recommend niagara falls memorial medical center. The psych dept there is way better. At least it was when i was there when i was a kid. I was in foster homes growing up so i was a sad depressed lil kid all the time but i remember i liked it at that hospital the staff was all caring and nice If you need to go anywhere go there.
Very nice staff and dentist, honestly. And they do good dental work. But right now, after an extraction I'm in almost suicidal pain because ECMC has a policy against true pain management and would only prescribe Advil. Now I know there are a lot of junkies in this town but FFS pain is pain and I will not deal with doctors to whom pain management is not a priority. Will end up going to ER for pain now.
There are a few doctors and nurses that I trust. And the transplant clinic is ran like circus. And the social worker he is very manipulative and talks down on you. I'm ready to take my BUSINESS elsewhere. If ECMC doesn't get there crap together.
Don't depend on the ER. I spent 24 hrs before I was admitted to the hospital last time. I'm taking business elsewhere.
And Jim Kelly is a joke to sell out this hospital.
