So a friend and I went here. There was a young lady on the cooked food area. For starters she wasn’t nice or friendly. We would ask her questions about the food and she would respond in a very rude way. I mean if you are going to be so ignorant and rude to your customers you should find a different job. We will no longer be coming here thankfully we have a cermak near our house more choices better service.

Whenever we are in the area, we swing in for something. Fresh salsa, pastries, lunch counter attached inside, all make it a must stop. PS the house hot is HOT

Clean! Neat! Lovely produce! Yummy looking meat. Huge selection! One thing wrong - the strawberries were moldy. But the red cherries only $1.99 lb!

El Rey is an absolute must if you're looking for quality Mexican ingredients, but it's also just a great grocery store in its own right. The produce is excellent and cheap. The meat department has a great variety and I really appreciate that they use the whole animal. I've seen chicken feet, pork feet, pig heads, and many other things you normally don't see in a supermarket. There is also an in store restaurant serving Mexican food and a prepared food deli and bakery. Everything I've ever purchased has been fresh and delicious. El Rey is great and worth a visit.

Never shopped at the store but have eaten at the restaurant many times and I love the food! Authentic mexican food, taste good, very reasonably priced, good portions, always fresh, the staff is friendly, the place is clean, and the service is fast.
