Ever since we moved into a fixer-upper, Roman Electric and Plumbing has been our go to business of choice. We have had many projects completed by them in our home: a full kitchen/dining room remodel (down to the studs), an entire house change from fuses and low amps to a box and more amps, a new power line from our house out to our detached garage for an electric car charging station, replacement of outdoor lights, a bathroom remodel including new sink fixtures for an original 20's sink, plumbing for an existing tub (adding a shower option), a new toilet, and a new light over the vanity, and adding a few outlets and changing some basement lights on pull cords onto a switch.
Regarding the quality of work on new boxes in the basement and the garage- the inspector stated how neat and tidy the job was completed!
What I can tell you about Roman is that everyone who has worked in this house has been friendly, professional, and flexible with the random crazy that old houses bring. Working with Anthony for obtaining bids and for answering my *continual* list of questions has always been extremely timely and courteous.
Has there been an occasional monkey wrench thrown into planned projects? Yes. But as I stated before, working in a 100yr old house is not like working in a new construction home. That being said, they have never hesitated or been difficult to work with if we have had to make changes from the original plan.
I will continue to hire Roman for all of my electrical and plumbing needs in this home. They do great work!response / report this review -

So I called to have someone come and look at a water heater.the lady scheduled me for Friday nov.3rd.well they decided to show unexpectedly on Thursday the 2nd.when the lady called me to let me know the tech guy was there,she had an attitude and right away said she'd cancelled my appointment.gave me no option to reschedule or anything.also told me they been booked on that Friday for days.bad reputation is the what there getting.i definitely won't recommend this company to anyone

We had a lamp post that didn't light up. Others came and said it couldn't be done and the whole sidewalk and lawn would have to be torn up.
Enter, Nick, who said he would find where the break was and then let me know what he could or could not do. He said he loved to solve problems and proceeded to do it. He found the break and reconnected it. Now we will have a beautiful lamp post for Christmas.What is that old saying "The man who says it can't be done should get out of the way of the man who is doing it'" Thanks Nick,response / report this review -

The guys from Roman Electric came out and did a great job fixing (2) light switched and (2) outlets. We recently renovated our home office, and the new drywall was thicker then the old stuff, so the boxes were set too far back. The new boxes and outlets are very sturdy with no jiggling when plugging/unplugging devices.

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! Edward Monaghan of Roman Electric came over for an estimate while my husband was at work (which was reasonable and went well). Then he said don't worry about the $40 trip charge. The next day I get a call that my husband and I didn't pay for the trip charge so I said that is weird because Edward said he wouldn't charge but I will have my husband call from work and pay it right away. So my husband called promptly and was told that because I was so distraught during our estimate, as a courtesy they didn't collect it from me at the time. I was never distraught over anything the entire time, I just pointed out what work we needed and he left. I am stunned and would never go with such a crazy company! Was it worth trashing me to my husband for $40 because you just lost $10k over it!!! Unbelievably strange!

I had great experience with the 2 Roman Electric employees Brian and Treavor. They were very helpful and honest. They were very knowledgeable and if I ever need any work I would like one of those 2 employees to complete the work and I would recommend them to anybody.

We have had Roman Electric come out to our house several times to do both electrical work and plumbing. They provided an estimate before starting their work and all jobs were done professionally. We wouldn't call anyone else.

Roman Electric has gone downhill since they expanded to do plumbing and AC. They were so good and responsive in the past and I referred everyone to them. Now they are a joke. Technicians come out and don't know what they are doing. I had a hot water heater put in a few months ago after having to pay for two previous visits before they diagnosed it correctly. I had it diagnosed myself immediately. Hot water heater installed and when plumber left I had no water pressure-barely trickled out. I had to cancel my plans and wait for them to send someone else out. The office staff is not very knowledgeable and the service manager does not return calls. I had another issue with some work they were going to do this month and when the technician came he said that was not his job. He then lied when I later called the office. That really takes the cake and makes me not trust them at all anymore. I have regularly referred my clients from my business but not anymore.

I had Jason the election come out and give me a quote 2 weeks ago. He was professional and courteous however the ending experience was not too good based on pricing after I had goten a few more quotes. I'm sure he would do good work but his quote was 4x higher than 2 other quotes I had received for the same work and more. I feel there is a line that was crossed after realizing the difference in pricing when it come to being competitive at high profit vs taking advantage of people. I guess at the end of the day my suggestion is get multiple quotes. The company didn't do anything wrong I just felt that had I not done my shopping I would have been taken advantage of which is why they are 3 Stars IMO.

Extremely pleased with the emergency service and assistance from Roman Electric. Reasonably priced and very quick to respond. Would absolutely call them again for any electrical work.

Roman Electric ONLY cares about well off customers, not disabled poor people. I have a very serious electrical problem and they refused to set up a payment plan for me. They literally left me desperate without electricity. It's 7°F and I will be in the dark tonight thanks to them not helping me. Classist bastards. Enjoy your warm homes tonight, RE.

Really happy with response, communication, and work after a kitchen outlet problem that ended up being a wiring problem at the breaker. They found the problem, at 1:00am because we were worried about how hot the breaker was and had shut it off. Fixed, up and running in less than an hour. Thanks!
