Awesome place while they were there. Not sure what shenanigans caused them to go, probably something stupid with the town I'm sure. Plenty of rumors and none of them good.
They will be missed. A local institution for a very long time.
It's closed. It used to be a nice store.
Expensive but that may be why they are going out of business. It's unfortunate because there was a decent selection of quality products.
So glad this store is going out of business. They have been overpriced for the last 100 years. Guys at the firearms counter are always complete JO's. Good riddance.
Currently running a going out of business sale which means they are probably the price of most places now. They were well over priced before. They did have good customer service
Shopped there over many years. Fishing gear, archery and a bicycle. Staff always very friendly and very knowledgeable. Will miss you!
We all want to save money. It is known that there are a ton of Walmart and stores that you can save a few dollars at. But let's face it, you get what you pay for. Effinger's might be a few dollars more for items, but what you get is quality products and expert advice and maintenance. To me, that's PRICELESS.
I am a beginner fisher and they helped me so much, I will NEVER go anywhere else. Thank you to the guys that helped me in the fishing dept.
You've gained a lifetime customer.
Sincerely, Joy Gill
Mark and his team in the bike shop are so professional and personal at the same time. I purchased my first new bike in over 25 years, he made sure I was fitted properly, had the correct bike for my lifestyle, and took as much time as I needed to be confident in my purchase. They are remarkable and super helpful (I noted how they interacted with all the customers while I was there). Go there and buy your first or fiftieth bike, they're great.
