It has all amenities of a budget motel. Location is very good for the stopover. Additional cleanliness will make the stay more enjoyable and add another star to the rating.
Stayed in the older section. The room and bathroom provided plenty of space for the three of us. It was clean and quiet. Good value for the price. I'd definitely stay here again.
Excellent value for the room rate!! Strong shower pressure, plenty of ready-to-use hot water, firm bed, supportive pillows, elbow room (king bed), and adequate morning breakfast bar. Quiet location. Professional, personable hotel staff.
This Econolodge beats MANY other, more expensive, hotels in which I have stayed. Very glad we reserved a room here.
It was difficult me to rate this place as the aspects I normally would consider for rating a business varied quite a lot. So here is a step by step rating.
1 . Access and parking - 5 stars. Just next to the highway and parking right in front of the rooms.
2. Front desk staff - Very friendly , helpful and considerate. The night shift clerk was very helpful , informative and determined to provide a great customer service. Even the daytime staff were very nice.
3. Breakfast - 5 stars. Great breakfast, hot and lots of options.
4. Pool , hot tub and sauna - 5 stars. well maintained and secure.
5. Room - 3 stars . Spacious but smelly, non working AC.
6. Cleanliness - Big ZERO star. Rusted , stinky bathroom, dirty linens, smelly sink and used towels still hanging on the hooks.
This hotel was an excellent stay at an affordable price. Clean spacious room. And the hotel has an indoor pool, hot tub and sauna. I was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely stay here again.
Rooms good. Staff also good
The desk attendant was amazing and hilarious. Room was just as expected clean and comfortable. Fantastic hotel for the price.
This was a very bad experience. $100.00 a nite and no wi-fi. Was there from Thursday to Saturday, and they told me to go to the KAO.They have wi-fi there. The breakfast was not anything I would feed to anyone. Went to town to eat breakfast. The room was terrible. Had to listen to the ice maker AL-NITE, the Windows didn't work. And the scenery of snowmobiles was just the topping. Glad I brought my 91 proof alcahol spray to spray the bed just in case of bedbugs. The dead bolt on the door didn't work so kept my gun by the bed. Don't use the cloths rack it fell on the floor with my wife's cloths. The bathroom door opens in, so there is no room in the bathroom unless your invisible. The door hits the toilet. I didn't get what I payed for. I've been all over the United States. This was the worst.
Rooms are great and the service is awesome. These guys really know how to treat their guests right. Big thanks to Paul in the shop for helping us out with our sled, really made our trip. Would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to the Munising area.
If you need to stay in the Munising Area, I would strongly suggest that you choose another property (AmericInn). When I called to make the same day reservation and thru the weekend, it was not divulged that the weekend rate was higher than the weeknight rate. The person who took the reservation (Tara) lied to management that she had told me. These rooms should not be at a rate over $75 per night on any given night. Bathrooms need complete updating, the lobby is in a completely different building than the rooms. The only positive thing I can say is that the night person on duty (Matt), was a very nice man. When talking with the manager (Chrissy) after seeing a second charge on my credit card, all she could do was apologize, but would not honor the one rate that was quoted me of $109. Very disappointing when the manager of a property won't honor a rate. This issue will be escalated to corporate.
