They have great rooms, food and great vacancy, so come on down in the summer to relax and have fun.

Rooms can be cleaner upon arrival we noticed a hair on our bed and a playing card on side of bed and the carpet did not seem like it was vaccumed. Internet was horrible. Other then that I really enjoyed my time with my family we had a 3rd floor so the view of the balcony was awesome we saw the fireworks from their.The indoor pool area and jacuzzi is a plus we loved it nice and warm.Continental breakfast is a plus not bad bagels,muffins,donuts,waffles,oatmeal,coffee etc.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was comfortable clean and room was well sized. I loved that this hotel was a 2 minute walk from the lake, and I could open my blinds and have a Great Lake view. 5-7 minute walk/drive to everything worth doing. You're not going to beat it for the price. My only wish is that the hot tub/pool area stayed open later.

Very clean, very good continental breakfast. Nice pool and Jacuzzi. Would be nice to have a microwave in the room though.

Our room was very nice, clean. My kids did complain about internet, tho. That would be our only complaint. The location was perfect for our weekend. The staff were all very pleasant and accomodating. The continental breakfast was good. I would definitely go back.

We showed up there and were rented a room. They handed us the key and said we were all set. Upon going up to our room, we see that it hadn't yet been turned over. The trash is overflowing from the last person and the blankets are a mess, etc. We go back down and tell the front desk, and they say they'll send someone up. So now we have to wait with our things until someone can come up. It would have been better if they had said "here's your key, but give us a half hour to clean it up for you". Nothing like that was said, however, making us think that it would be all nice and tidy for us. The staff really doesn't speak with you. I've never been to a hotel where people don't make conversation and it was actually quite irritating to be ignored by the staff. One morning at breakfast, I was stared down by someone who I didn't know. She was wearing scrubs, standing up against the wall, and occasionally pulling her phone out of her pocket. I assumed she was a mom waiting for one of the children there, not an employee. Not knowing who she was, I didn't ask for help when the waffle batter was empty and I was getting none out of the machine. Nor did I ask for assistance in finding anything, because again, I was unaware that this woman worked here. She didn't even have a name tag on. Eventually she went to get more batter. In the mean time, we made new pots of coffee ourselves. I went looking for syrup for my waffle, because I hadn't seen any while I looked around. She came around the corner and gave me a comment in the rudest tone "UM, you're not supposed to be in there." I was just looking for something that wasn't out, so I assumed a cupboard would have it. It would have been useful for her to speak up before this point, because this comment honestly quite irked me, as she hadn't moved off the wall until she went for more batter, and it came across really rude as the first words I heard that morning were incredibly condescending. By the time we left breakfast that morning, there was also a pack of Marlboro cigarettes that one of the employees had left on the counter next to the waffle machine. Just what I want, cigarette flavored waffles. Yum. Not to mention the small kids that were at breakfast when all of this was mentioned to Choice Hotels, I got a message that says "Wow, that sounds awful" And no action was taken at all. The next morning at breakfast, Connie, another worker, was greeting everyone. She kept up with things, put out more food (food that I hadn't even seen the day before), paid attention to the guests (one woman couldn't see the buttons on the toaster and needed help popping up her bagel. Connie took notice). Connie was actually the only one I actually enjoyed and we had her come over to our table and sit with us so we could tell her that. I was incredibly disappointed in the experience. Connie was such a breath of fresh air to have after the rest of the employees didn't acknowledge you. I will never stay here again.
Connie told us that if we wanted to, we could go to the front desk and speak with the manager. When we did talk to her about the one lady who was very snippy to us, she said she would speak to her. in a tone that almost sounded like she was about to say she would speak to her again. She looked as if this wasn't the first time she had heard a complaint with her.response / report this review -

Family stayed here for the weekend. Excellent rooms and location, continental breakfast a huge plus. Definitely will be back.

If the name econolodge makes you think about a hotel which is far away from the happening places and doesn't offer much in terms of view you would be mistaken as it checks off both the boxes while being reasonably priced. The rooms are refurbished and the staff is friendly. The location is awesome as well, right at the southern tip acts as a huge plus. The places offers free WiFi and breakfast as well. Bottom line, if you are looking to spend a weekend at Lake George without breaking the bank while also not be far removed from the action, this is a good place to consider.
