Sold me a ventless gas log set that was installed by a third party. Unit works well and they threw in some high temp insulation for the flue in an old chimney. Service in the store was slow because of it being busy on a Saturday, but I could tell he was doing the best he could. It took a while for the installer to call me and setup the appt but the guy from Indy Gas who showed up was nice and took time to explain things. Overall, had a good experience. If you want to support a small business and get actual customer service, I recommend going here instead of big box store.
After going through a few big box gas grills, I decided to buy a more expensive premium grill. The grill was considerably more expensive but is more than worth the investment. The owner is extremely knowledgable and wanted to know what I like to do on the grill. He then suggested an American made grill from Broilmaster. The difference between this grill and a very expensive grill at big box store is night and day. In summary, I got a great American made product that fit my needs and exceeded my expectations.
I bought a new fireplace from Duncan in March. It was installed in April. I had to have them come back out because they did not work with my contractor as they were asked to do to be sure installation was correct for the facing that was to be installed. My contractor told them all the materials to be used ahead of time. They did come back a week later and adjust it as needed. That's fine, mistakes happen and it was fixed. However, in June a power outage occurred and my fireplace hasn't worked since. I've been calling Duncan since June. I've left many messages and never once got a call back. I happened to catch Steve at least 3 times and he assured me each time his guys would call and book an appointment to fix the fireplace. No one called. In September I called again and talked to Steve. He promised someone would call me that day. Jeremy did call that day and booked an appointment for today Sept 16th at 4pm (he could not accommodate a later time of day). NO ONE SHOWED UP. I left a message for both the store (during business hours) and on Jeremy's cell phone. No call backs. How is this acceptable???
I hired Duncan's to install a gas log lighter to an outdoor fire pit in the Zionsville area. The installer showed up, finished the job about 3/4 of the way then I had to hound them to get rest of the job completed. I am still waiting on part of it to be completed but am out of time and patience and tired of calling them. They want to charge top dollar but provide FAR from it in service at the most basic level. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
Are Hoosiers really wanting the same 1890's - 1930's wood stove designs?
The are SO, many new designs in the world, yet every dealer, supplier, and purchasing agent keep, bring in the same old tired designs,
yes all the American manufactures make EPA and up to 86% efficient wood stove etc
By why can't someone sale the better designed more efficient Euro wood stoves.
Hell, why can't an American Manufacture design something for the modern world of today and tomorrow. I have been to, many Fireplace Stores looking for one dealer to help and all the sales people have just looked at me like I'm crazy for trying to find something that my clients and I like. A design that meets a contemporary design taste!
Yes, Gas inserts are making the move to a more modern design, why not wood burning!
So, the next time a person comes to your store don't act as if, you are lost with questions of new ideas, styles, and pricing.
Thank you for your help keeping me away from your Location!
