Very impressed with the hotel! The facilities and services are top-notch but it is the staff that really makes this place outstanding.
I had car problems and was considering storing it so I could continue with the trip. The manager offered to park it in their fenced lot at no cost until my return. Luckily, I got the car fixed but it was a generous offer.response / report this review -

I believe the price may be a bit steep, maybe by $25 - 30. But the quality of this hotel warrants my five star rating. Excellent staff who are courteous, energetic and carry with them a service-like attitude that is far less frequent in places like this. I always choose Drury facilities when they're in the area I'm traveling. Looking forward to seeing more expansion of this chain in the future.

Great place to stay. Loved the 5:30 kickback (free dinner and drinks) after a long day on the road. Pet-friendly, but so clean you'd never expect it to be pet-friendly.

Free breakfast was actually pretty good. However, they also had free dinners which were equally as nice. The the real bonus was that you got 3 free alcoholic drinks with dinner. Was able to get my drink on for free.

We have stayed many times at this location and have always been pleased. The rooms are clean and quiet, the staff pleasant and the good above average.

We stayed here five nights. I can't say enough positive things about the facility and staff. Everything was great. Clean rooms, quiet stay, great meals offered twice a day. I would not hesitate to return.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was excellent. The staff was very accomodating and they made sure our stay was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel. The pool area was nice and the breakfast was very good. This was one of the best hotel experiences I ever had. I could not of been more pleased.

We stayed here with our family. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's a very clean hotel. The food was good; we enjoyed the kickback and breakfast. The kids really enjoyed the pool. We highly recommend this hotel.

We love Drury hotels. The staff was friendly and the rooms are clean. Kids enjoyed the pool. Breakfast is always great. The young lady attending breakfast was very helpful and friendly. I believe her name was Imani. We've stayed at this location before and will definitely come back.

Probably the best hotel chain around. The Drury Inn & Suites in Independence MO is a newer version of thier hotels and is one of the best values for the dollar. The location is easy to access and there is plenty of parking. The rooms are clean and spacious as is the bathroom. Other items of note. The staff was very friendly and responsive. When we were staying, there was a Softball Tournament nearby. Even though the lobby and dining area were full, the staff kept everything moving without delay. As a chain, the hotel provides breakfast with eggs, sausage, cereal, fruit, yogurt, waffles and many other items. All we're fresh and replenished when we were staying. One request serve bacon. In the evenings, you are provided with a drink card for three adult beverages and food is also served. The menu rotates but you can see such items as chicken tenders, hot dogs and baked potatoes. They also provide Pepsi products, but the selection is limited to six flavors, usually Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Mist Twist, Root Beer, Tea and Mountain Dew. Second request Add Diet Mountain Dew and Dr. Pepper.

Great staff, very clean and free food & drinks.
This was my first stay with my husband and two kids. We felt pampered! We had popcorn and pop upon check in. We then enjoyed free drinks from the bar and free dinner.
We went for a swim in the indoor/outdoor pool. We don't like hot tubs but they had just cleaned it so we even gave that a try!
Overall a really good stay. I'll look for Drury first on my next trip.
Only caution is the springy beds and soft pillows.response / report this review -

EDIT : I am adding back one star, bringing it to 4 stars. The Manager contacted me within MINUTES of my review posting and offered to resolve the issue by putting a credit back to my card and switching the payment to the intended card. I was informed switching cards is no problem and is done frequently, so he's not sure why the issue occurred. While I had already made the payment to my student tuition credit card so there was no sense in switching the payment, the great customer service was refreshing. I am still only providing 4 stars as the issue shouldn't have happened to begin with and the pool experience was very lacking with no supervision of children running around wildly, but I will bring it from 3/5 to 4/5 and I will be returning for future stays.
Room was fine, view was okay, paid for upper floor and did get 6th floor corner room although choosing 7th floor would have been a nice option. Pool and hot tub were nice and clean, but unsupervised. Kids were running around wildly, jumping in and out of the hot tub screaming and running in and out of bathrooms. It really ruined the calming pool and spa experience for me and my girlfriend. The room itself was very clean, the bed was moderately comfortable, and there wasn't too much noise from surrounding rooms.
So why did I take off 2 stars aside from the pool issue? This is because of how they charged me. Upon check in I had forgotten the credit card I wanted to use in my car. They do require any card at check in just to have one on file, but made it very clear I could switch the card on file any time before I left. 10 minutes before check out I head up to the front desk and ask if I can switch my card on file to the one I originally wanted and take my other credit card off. The woman at the front desk said that wasn't a problem, checked my ID, swiped my new card, and handed me a receipt. All seemed fine. Until the next day when I realized my bank still hadn't been charged. I checked the first credit card I presented and sure enough, they didn't change the card info. They charged the first card and put it over it's credit limit(it's a card I used for my Summer college tuition so it was already near maxed). What was done with the second card I gave them? It was a moderately lengthy process to supposedly put my card in the system, yet they didn't even use it to pay the bill. This was inconvenient, made no sense, and now I have a credit card well past it's limit. Didn't completely ruin the experience, but it was definitely frustrating.response / report this review -

Enjoyed my stay! First of all Drury Inn is my new favorite hotel. The hotel was CLEAN; lobby, dining area, elevators, room, bathroom. The staff was very friendly. Dinner and drinks were good, breakfast was better than most hotel breakfasts. In a great location as well. I would definitely stay here again.
