I got my hair done here yesterday by Elie. I got a balayage and it looks absolutely fantastic. I would recommend her to anyone who was looking for someone who really cares about how the results would turn out. I don't need a touch up anytime soon, but when I do, I'll be back :) Also shout out to Jacob for doing a phenomenal job helping as well.

Not sure if there is one Martha or 2, but Martha (polish) was amazing! Really personable and did a great job. Would come back for that kind of service and Recommend. Despite going from long hair to short, no mater how long it took, she made sure my hair turned out the way I wanted it and didn't rush it. 👌🏻⭐️

I had an amazing 90 minute facial with Morgan. She was attentive, knowledgeable and had super soft hands which only made the experience more enjoyable. She made sure I understood the products she was using on me and how they would help my skin. I left glowing and with some new products that I probably wouldn't have gotten if it wasn't for her and even better I didn't feel pressured to purchase either, she was honest and told me what would help and what wouldn't and i trusted her advice after seeing the results from her work myself. She is an asset and I will definitively try to book with her again!

This was my very first facial. I had no expectations going in but boy was I blown away by how amazing the experience was. My student was Jessica (Congrats on graduating soon!) and she was fantastic! Being my first facial, she explained the entire process, expectations etc. The atmosphere was extremely relaxing. After the facial, she made recommendations to better my skin health. All in all, I highly recommend this service. As a male who had never done something like this before, I recommend all other guys to take the plunge!

I had a 60 minute facial done by Jessica K. and it was amazing! I was so relaxed, I fell asleep a few times. Jessica had a wonderful personality and while friendly, was extremely professional. She really knew what was best for my skin (pretty dry) and made some really great recommendations based on my concerns and her expertise. My skin was glowing and super soft and moisturized when she was finished. It was an all-around wonderful experience!

Berenice did such a great job with my 60 min facial! She led me through the entire treatment - making sure that I knew what products she was using, what they did for my skin, and how to best replicate the effect in my skin regimen at home. She was very thorough in assessing what products would be best used throughout the treatment and applied them very well. I will definitely be returning!

I have come here twice now for facials and both times been scheduled with Jessica K. She is amazing and my skin has dramatically improved. The instructors check in to make sure everything is going well, but I am confident Jessica is ready to go pro! Overall I am extremely satisfied with my services and cant wait to see the continual progress I make with Jessica's guidance. If you are looking to glow, I highly recommend this place!

I had a really great experience! I had a 60-minute facial with Monica and she did a wonderful job. She was gentle, responsive, knowledgeable, and attentive. I felt so relaxed and comfortable and my breakouts are less red and sensitive the next day. She also did a great job on my brow waxing. I'll definitely be going back!

Great and affordable. I stumbled upon Aveda to chop my hair for donation for an affordable price and by receiving a great customer service, I also wanted to try their 90 minute facial. In my luck they gave me a great student (Jessica), from a great facial, scalp, neck massages, to extraction and mask, I ended up seeing her for 3 more 90 min facials. I will definitely go back here to get pampered in an affordable price.

The Aveda Institute is a full service cosmetology school. You can get an excellent cut & color for a very good price. I've been going there for years.
The one thing that I will say is that they have had water problems for years. Like the water that they use to wash your hair can either be numbingly cold or scalding hot & it changes from second to second. That is not nice. The last time I was there, the water in the bathroom was so cold that my hands were in pain from trying to wash them for a few seconds. They really need to fix that.response / report this review -

Look, you pay $16 for a haircut IN CHICAGO. IN CHICAGO. That's awesome. $16! Can you really complain?
And they give you a scalp massage. And sometimes, a free hand massage. And tea or water!
To be fairyes, I've definitely had a haircut last over 2.5 hours & I missed plansand yes, I've been underwhelmed. And yes, you have to sit through a sales pitch sometimes.
BUT I've also gone from dark red to blonde successfully. And I was convinced to get straight across blunt bangs, for the better! And I've met some really wonderful future stylists. And I've never cried from a haircut here.
