I have been to this place several times. The food has always been good. The outdoor patio is great in the summer time and we prefer to sit out there. Leave the kids at home and enjoy a great dinner.

This place has been my favorite restaurant for over 20 years. I have never had a bad meal here. The atmosphere is warm and romantic and inviting. The food is exceptional. The service is always good. Downstairs they have a great Lounge, often with live entertainment, where you can enjoy food and cocktails and sometimes dancing. Love this place!

The best restaurant we've been to. Great food, drinks, and service. Definitely try their brussel sprouts appetizer. I don't care for brussel sprouts, but this was amazing.

The last few meals my family and I have had at the Pomeroy House have been disappointing. The food is good but the service is terrible. This would have never happened when Danny was manager. We were there for dinner with an out of town guest and it took forever to get our meal. Very slow service. We went a few weeks later and treated a couple of friends to lunch and again the service was terrible. We had to keep asking for our meal. They were slow getting out salads and bread to us. Then the entrees took forever. We asked for sugar with our coffee and they never brought it. We always loved Pomeroy House and have spend thousands of dollars there, but it's going to be a long time before we will be back. Service is everything. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is beautiful but slow service is unacceptable especially with the prices we are paying. I don't mind paying but I expect great service.

I have been to Don's Pomeroy about 50 times dating back to our wedding rehearsal dinner in 1986. We have kept going because of the quality food and service. However, my last trip there we got neither. I should have sent the food back. I ordered the "taste of New England." The lobster had the texture of a rubber band and was severely overlooked. My wife ordered the chicken and clam bake. She said the chicken was hard to eat and had some strange parts in it. We waited over 40 minutes to get our food after it was ordered. The waitress seemed bored and offered no apology for our wait. We went for my birthday and I was very disappointed.

The food and the service were just wonderful. We sat out on the patio with the lights, and it was a great evening. Would highly recommend.

The crab cakes are the most amazing crab cakes you will ever eat! They are made with lump crab, with very little breading, fresh corn and a delectable sweet sauce. I also lover their CAB Oscar steak that is covered with lump crab. If you could give a restaurant 10 stars, I would give them 10 stars.

First visit. Had lunch in the Pub. Pleasant, private, relaxed atmosphere with excellent service. Crab/asparagus quiche was yummy. Jumbo eclair big enough to share and still have some to take home. There will be a second visit and more.

The atmosphere is really cool and unique. One area feels like a fancy old house while the pub in the basement has a completely different appeal. Everyone enjoyed their food with a few minor exceptions. The service was fantastic.

The Pub in the basement is a nice quiet place to grab a few drinks and something to eat. Menu has a great variety to choose from. Get the Chip & Dip appetizers (artichoke and spinach dip with lobster)

We eat downstairs in the Pub alot. Upstairs menu available downstairs, but not downstairs menu available upstairs. Love the upstairs for a little more formal of a function. Celebrated a many of occasions here through the years. Outside patio in sumner is a great escape in the heart of Strongsville. No matter where you dine you can be assured of great service and great food. My favorite side is the grilled Brussel Sprouts.
