Stopped in with work mates for a quick bite to eat. Ordered the Pressed Duck sandwich which was delicious.
Chris, our server, was awesome! He checked on us multiple times and refilled our drinks often. There was live music tonight which made it loud but didn’t bother us much. Recommend giving it a try!response / report this review -

I moved to the Mount Dora area 11 years ago, and visited this place for the first time on Sunday, with some friends. The food, the atmosphere, and the service from our friendly server, Pam was great. The “Blackened Shrimp and Grits” special of the day was deliciously to die for and should be on the regular menu. I will definitely be back to Dexter’s. It’s definitely worth a drive!!!

My wife and I had lunch today at Dexter's. It was a new menu and I saw
KFC .. Korean Fried Chicken over Asian Slaw w/ Korean BBQ sauce.
Crazy Good . My wife kept dipping her chicken from her salad into the
bbq sauce. We have always enjoyed Dexter's but this was a very nice new option. Sitting outside was just a very nice Bonus.

Amazing service, amazing food, and amazing staff. Will definitely be returning. If i could put six stars, I would. Highly recommended this restaurant to anyone in the area. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

It's not a good bar. It's a mediocre restaurant. It hasn't improved or changed in 6 years. I ordered a Dark n Stormy and it was lacking the dark rum topper. The sliced limes and Lemons always seem to be dry left overs from the previous day. I'd give it a miss. Lots to choose from in that area.

Excellent service and great food. Awesome selections of food. Portions are also very good. Atmosphere is good if you are young or old. WE are retired and love the place. Price are very fair for what you get Keep up the great food Dexters

If I could leave a review of no stars I would!!! Not because of the food but because of the experience, the servers, and the management. My friend and I were there over the weekend listening to live music and a glass of red wine was knocked off the table by a bus boy and glass shattered everywhere ted wine flew all over my friends BRAND NEW white shorts .. No one car to our table even once to make sure she was OK. A little while later when I asked for the manager on duty to come over, he non chalantly strolled over and said oh its a restaurant .. Accidents happen .. Mind you, there are still shards of glass all over the floor and I'm wearing sandals AMD could have gotten glass into my feet at any time. He acted like we were an inconvenience to him by asking him to do his job. My friend called the GM on Monday and he was even more rude and less caring about what had happened stating it was the bands fault the drink got spilled because they were playing too loud. THE BAND WASNT EVEN PLAYING WHEN IT HAPPENED. THEY WERE ON BREAK. Maybe losing a hand full of customers didn't concern this establishment .. But without a doubt I'll never return

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. Discovered a great brunch menu. Get the Tuna Melt - it's yummy! Service was spot on. Energetic atmosphere.

I'm visiting from out of town and have had two meals at Dexter's this week: brunch on Sunday and dinner on Tuesday. Both were delicious and reasonably priced. I enjoyed the outdoor seating both times. The wait staff was prompt and attentive.

Great place to grab Sunday brunch, but it gets busy very quickly. We arrived a few minutes before opening and were seated immediately, orders taken promptly, and food came out very quickly.
Everything tasted great. The bottomless mimosas ($12) as definitely worth it since we got more than 3 (plus they are in larger glasses).
I only took 1 star off because their brunch menu options have decreased. Everything is great otherwise.response / report this review
