MENU: 5 stars. Although I’ve been visiting Amura for years, I’m just now deciding to write a review because I feel it is my duty to reward sustained and continued excellence. Their hibachi on Sundays is unrivaled. Top-notch food meets rock-bottom prices for a combination that will keep both your stomach and your wallet full. Venturing out into the regular restaurant, although not as exciting, still leaves a pleasant taste in your mouth and isn’t that much of a hit on your pockets. The sushi is typically Amura’s patrons’ favorite dish, and if that’s your thing, well then I’ve heard very good things. I myself stick to the steak and the chicken, and they haven’t failed me yet.

MOOD: 5 stars. The mood is pretty fancy, and for the prices, it better be. The culture and ambiance of Lake Mary oozes throughout the restaurant and adds to the relaxing yet upscale environment.

STAFF: 5 stars. The staff is typically very friendly. The owner and I are friends so perhaps I’m a little biased in that regard but I’ve truthfully never had a negative experience with the staff so I’ll give high marks here.

VERDICT: 5 stars for a marvelous sushi restaurant and Japanese steakhouse. Whenever I’m in the north Orlando metro area, one of my favorite stops to eat is Amura and that hasn’t changed throughout the years.

I like the dinner service here alot but my favorite is the bento box lunch. Very reasonable and plenty of food.

Big, fancy looking sushi place with higher prices but it is good quality food. Worth a look or 2 or 3, since they have an extensive menu.

Amura is one of the best options in Sanford for sushi, but it is overpriced. The environment is beautiful and the sushi menu is priced accordingly. You can get away with not spending a lot of money here if you enjoy eating single rolls, but if you plan on ordering multiple rolls expect to rack up a suitable bill. If you're willing to sacrifice the environment, go to a competitor down the road. If not, go to Amura. You will not be let down.

We got to try their sushi, really good 😊 Reasonable price though. They had a special two rolls for 13.99. I just have to mention it's a very busy place, they take a minute to get back to you! If you take a date for dinner just keep this in mind to have plenty to talk about because they are slow
