I was reluctant to visit a salon vs a barber shop. But I had a really bad haircut from another place and needed it fixed. Tessa was great. She made it look much better and I've been going to her ever since.

Way too expensive! I can get the exact same services downtown for less. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is beautiful, they do wonderful work as well, however I’d rather save money.

So at first I had left a bad review due to the fact that my first experience was not good at all. But I am returning to leave a better review because the manager Trica reached out to me and offered me something to apologize for the bad experience. I was very glad that somebody took action and made an effort to fix the wrong doings. I got a free 25min massage with any perks. Jane was the lady that did my massage and it was wonderful! It was very relaxing and I was extremely grateful to receive it. The whole experience was different with very nice receptionists and I never had a ride encounter. I'll still probably never go back for anything as far as a manicure or pedicure, but I will definitely go back for any future massages!! Thank you for helping make my experience better design one!

I was honestly very excited to go to this spa for the first time. Unfortunately for me I didn't even receive the service I was expecting and was told to go to a difference nail spa entirely for the service. I want acrylic nails, because they're supposed to be stronger. When I made my appointment over the phone she failed to inform me their version isn't as strong as others. The lady who was supposed to do my nails told me, asked if I still wanted them, I said yes, she then spoke to the manager and they said I should go elsewhere for stronger nails and a cheaper price. Although that does help me, I was expecting a great experience and would have paid more for the service here, but I got someone who was rude and no service at all. I'll never step foot in design one spa again. Especially to just get turned away again.

Tonight was my first visit to this salon. I was so nervous to go-I have had so many people mess my hair up in the past. However, Stephanie was my stylist and she was AMAZING! I had a picture of what I wanted to have done & she made it happen! I will for sure return to see Stephanie again! From scheduling my appointment, getting my hair done to finish, all of the staff was so very kind. Other businesses should take notes from these wonderful lovelies at Design 1!

Large array of services offered, excellent massage therapy (thanks, Faith!) and nail services (thanks, Tricia!). They also have an wide selection of fantastic products and frequently run specials. I also appreciate the beverage upon my arrival. :)

My only gripe is that I really think children should not be allowed in a spa - that's my time to relax and the presence of small, rowdy children erodes that relaxation and it also makes the spa seem much less nicer than it is.
