Staff couldn't accommodate a space for 10 during happy hour. Suggested we sit at bar on both ends of other guests to crowd them out despite others having a large dedicated table. Needless to say our Happy Hour was happy elsewhere.
Definitely not bad, but felt kind of overpriced for the quality and amount of food we got. $40 for a 12 ounce steak with only one basic side and no salad. But very nice atmosphere.
Service was a 5, food was a 4.5, ambiance was a 2.5. Steak was great, and I feel like the meal was a very good value overall. Whoever complains it is pricey has not been to one of the expensive steakhouses in town. For the quality you get here for what you pay, I will definitely be back. I also appreciate that they don't gouge you with drink prices like a lot of these places do. Only problem was the shrimp in the Steak Christopher was a tiny bit overcooked, and mashed potatoes were a bit dry. I usually don't even mention these tiny nitpicky problems, but I know they take the time to read every review. Only thing that kept them from five stars is how noisy it was. It was super crowded when we got there, but even when a bunch of the people left, it was still hard to hear. I think it was the acoustics. Made it hard to enjoy a romantic dinner with my wife.
First time attending
Took over an hour to get food. We got seated around 730 our food didn’t come out until 845. I ordered the steak Christopher medium for my steak it was completely raw. My waiter also agreed it was not medium. Asked to put my already cut into steak on a plate so they can cook it again. Now to me for an expensive steak house you should just automatically remake the whole steak got my steak back still raw and completely charred didn’t eat a single piece. Also ordered the broccolini it was like a plate of trees no seasoning just gross. Lobster mashers are basically boxed potatoes with lobster mixed in. My husband ordered the 24oz his was ok but mushroom risotto was very very dry. They comped my meal but we still ended up spending $80 which wasn’t even worth it. Not to mention my husband felt horribly sick later that night. Very overpriced and my dinner that night was the onion soup and even that was cold big waste of money!! But the waiter was very nice. Will never ever return!
After hearing Bull and Fox constantly plugging "Delmonicos, Baby" we finally made the little drive from Akron and was extremely disappointed. Food was average at best and overpriced. Service was horrible. Definitely not what we expected.
Stayed at a close by motel and wanted a good dinner for a 21st b day celebration. Went there and we're provided with an actual menu to view at the room. Then we went back to order and waited for the food. In no time at all they had us ready and completely set up with the most fabulous dinner ever. Highly recommend this place to everyone.
Dinner (lamb chops) was HUGE and delicious! Desserts were the highlight of, not only the evening, but also quite possibly my life. The lemon pound cake is a knockout!
Great place to meet for a business lunch. I prefer the seating inside next to the outside patio nice light making it easy read. Never been disappointed with a meal at Delmonico's.
I go here relatively often. Had a lovely dinner on the modest terrace which has a bit of a country feeling despite being in a super crowded area. The food is always excellent. The chef will whip you up most any request even if not on the menu. That is a real benefit to vegetarians. Enjoy.
We came for the happy hour. The food is excellent, no different from the main dining room. Drink selection is limited but covers the bases.
My husband took me here for my birthday. I loved the experience and hope to go back soon.
The Steak Christopher was fantastic. The service, on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. My wife put it best: "all bustle, no hustle".
If you are going to spend this much on steak, there are plenty of other restaurants in the area that will make it more worth your while.
My wife and I had a wonderful evening here for an early Valentine's Day dinner. Our server, James was very polite and knowledgeable about the food. I had a steak and my wife ordered the Chilean sea bass. We shared an appetizer of scallops (cooked to perfection) and we also enjoyed the lobster bisque.
We had a nice and quiet table in the back of the restaurant. Everything was great overall. It is on the pricey side, but that's not something I mind. Just keep that in mind if you do decide to come here. It's definitely worth it, though. I'll definitely be coming back!
Food was great! Nice environment. Service was good, but could be a bit better for the price. Over all 4.5. We'll be returning.
