We saw the nutcracker here - it was fantastic. The hall itself was very clean and impressive all around. Great bathrooms, excellent lighting and just a beautiful building.

The stage and sound are great, and the shows that come through are amazing. The venue facilities are not up to the crowd sizes they get. Not enough bathrooms by half!!! Don't drink anything from their overpriced bar unless you plan to use the restroom during the show when there isn't a huge line.

Upscale large venue. Very nice looking interior and staff is friendly. However, I don't recommend this place due to the following. Upper levels have no airflow. It's uncomfortably hot, humid and the odor just confirms the lack of ventilation. Inadequate bathroom facilities. There simply aren't enough bathrooms for the venue capacity as the lines are very long. Too much disparity between ticket cost and comfort.

I've attended many performances at DeVos - Beauty and the Beast, Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, etc. The acoustics are great and there isn't a bad seat in the house. Grand Rapids attracts some of the best theatrical talent in the world with many Broadway casts making appearances on the DeVos stage. I'm very privileged to have a great performance hall in my hometown of Grand Rapids!

I honestly thought this security company couldn't act anymore unprofessional then all the times I had seen them at events in the Van Andel until tonight at Devos during the ZZ Top concert , one girl takes her hair down and starts shakin her butt in in uniform in the concert area, another was so focused on some guy she didn't hear the handicap woman asking to get through to the bathroom and then there was the older guy in DK uniform drinking on the job which I brought to the attention of Devos employees and was told this behavior is common with DK employees , I was also not aware that DK employees were aloud to leave their assigned areas to attend the concert in uniform which not only happened tonight but is also a common sight at Van Andel also including talking on cell phones , texting , playing grab ass and generaly screwing off or hanging out in the bathrooms . When I attend an event and security is provided for our protection the security should be doing their job not acting like they can do what they want or running around like it's preschool recess, management really needs to play a bigger roll in what goes on at these venues and also needs to higher employees that can conduct themselves like mature adults that are representing your company!

The DeVos Performance Hall is a great place to see a live production. The seats we had were so close to the stage that seeing things happening on the floor of the stage were hard to see, but seeing the production was easy. The concession lines were long during intermission so I didn't bother to purchase anything. There wasn't a line to use the men's restroom, however there was for the women's restroom. Parking downtown will cost you if you park in a parking lot or garage, however, if you don't mind a little bit of a walk, you can park on the road just North of the venue and it is free after 5 PM.

Great venue for live performances (theatre, opera, comedy, symphony, and more). Great acoustics. Excellent staff. Beautiful venue located conveniently downtown. Event parking is available close to the venue.

Consistently one of the best venues in Grand Rapids. Symphony, Ballet, Broadway, this facility holds them all and creates a wonderful environment. Plus my family and I can have a wonderful meal, and enjoy a show all while parked out of the weather - no rain or no snow! No jacket required! Highly Recommend!

I've attended several different performances at the hall. If you get seats in the mezzanine or balcony you may have better experience if you bring theater glasses.

The seating can be cramped depending on your size. These are not Celebration Cinema seats.

There is a coat check available, but I have not used it and I assume there is a fee.

I am most disappointed with their choice of using Ticketmaster for ticket purchase processing. Know that you will pay "service" fees in addition to the base cost of a ticket for any show.

Beautiful facility. Easy parking in structure across the street. Full house but never felt crowded. Post performance exit moved right along. No bottlenecks. Comfortable seating allowed you to relax and enjoy the performance.

Stunning hall. We went to see the nutcracker and had seats in the mezzanine, the view was perfect and the show was incredible! We saw the nutcracker in Nashville last year but GR Ballet blew them out of the water! Highly recommend.
