The lobby, the elevator, the hallway ALL smelled like WEED, told the front desk and they didn't give a rip. What people do is their own business but this is a non-smoking hotel, show some respect, decency and maybe a little courtesy. Those of us that have jobs that necessitate drug testing don't want to risk our livelihood for your addiction. There is a dispensary 200 yards from this place and there were numerous sketchy people loitering around the exterior. If you have a family or arent a drug addict this hotel isn't for you.
Checked in, ran our card, then asked us if we needed a shuttle. We needed a 430 am shuttle and they all were full until 530. We were basically told we were out of luck. Not that it was any fault of the guy checking us in, but there has got to be a better system than that. Headed down the road five minutes to MicroTel, it was cheaper, the customer service was amazing and breakfast starts at 4am!
It was cheap and the bed was good. That was the good. Other than that - construction was happening which does not bother me. But what does bother me is exposed wire hanging from the ceiling in front of the breakfast room door. The hallways smelled like pot, fortunately the room did not. There is a dispensary about 50 yards from the hotel and even though you have to sign 'no smoking' agreements, I am guessing most don't adhere to it. But the hotel served it's purpose - we were just looking for affordable place for a night by the hotel. I am happy they seem to be updating
no place to eat breakfast, one person at the front desk the whole day. I was told my room would have a pull out bed in the couch AND a roll out cot but I got neither. flies buzzing around my room. I saw no other employees but the one. no pool either, the whole place is under construction.
Had a terrible stay here. When we first checked in the lobby was filthy. Didn't think much of it because we were road weary.
After check in, we ordered some delivery pizza. About an hour after the delivery the smoke alarms went off, this was at about 8pm. Everyone had to leave their rooms and stand outside while the Fire Department came to check things out. Didn't think much of it, came back in and went to bed early because we had a long drive the next day.
Fire alarm went off again at 1:30 in the morning. We just packed up our stuff and started our trip 7 hours earlier than expected.
Now in all fairness, they refunded all of our money for the nights stay. But I cannot give them a better rating than 3 because this shouldn't happen.
if you are looking for romance on the cheap this is how you get it. In room hot tub makes up for the fact this place is a bit of a dump. also, that view over the east into Dia is so pretty I've been back with my wife again and again
Staff very attentive and kind. Great stay for the value. Clean room, comfortable! At this time some areas are under construction and laundry or pool are not available at site but the neighbor hotel is open to their guests. I loved the location, close to airport and main roads.
I write this from my room & words cannot describe how creeped out I am. This place should be condemned.
1. Filthy. Rooms are moldy & vending/ice area smells like a rotting animal.
2. Shady people checking in & paying with cash.
3. There are no blankets. You have to use the bedspread for warmth.
4. Hallway smells like pot but I guess this is Colorado.
Can't wait to get out of here!!!
This place deserves zero stars. It costs only $50 less than neighboring hotels at the airport but should really cost much less. The hotel is currently under a complete renovation inside. Hammering during the day so don't plan to work in your room. Dirty sheets, towels, walls, sink, carpet, bedspreads, pillows, pillowcases, chairs, hallways, etc. TV mounted on a 70 degree slant. The owner should really consider closing this hotel until renovations are complete.
Hotel was being partially renovated during my stay (October 2017) which may have affected my experience. Rooms were adequate if a bit dated (maybe once renovations are done it will be different?), clean, and quiet enough. Breakfast was sparse. Staff was neither friendly nor unfriendly. Airport shuttle was nice.
It was nice. But the pool was not open. We had to use the best western next door. The shuttle to the air port came by every 45 minutes. Room was clean staff was nice
The rooms were really clean, and the staff was super helpful. They have a deck to sit on outside the pool area which was nice. They have great views from the rooms of the mountains and you can watch the planes take off. Thier breakfast was great it was very filling and they offer free shuttles to the airport. The only complaint is had was the pool water was really cold. But otherwise I was happy and would take my family there again.
My room was ready before their posted check in time of 3pm which gave me early access and time to rest. It was very clean and well appointed. The air was cool and fresh, and very quiet. My night was very peaceful and my sleep was uninterrupted. The complimentary breakfast was appreciated by all guests.
The room is dated but okay. Staff are mediocre at best (I don't think it takes that much to say "hello" or "enjoy your stay"). The hotel is supposed to have a complimentary airport shuttle but don't count on it. It runs every half hour but for a morning ride, you'll have to reserve it the night before. And each shuttle seems to have only four seats in it. When I checked in at 6 pm, I was told that the 4 am and 4:30 am shuttles next morning are already fully booked and asked to take a 3:30 am or 5 am, or an Uber.
On the way in, I tipped the shuttle driver but he just took the money off my hand and drove off without saying a single word.
If you have your own ride, the place is okay. If not, try somewhere else. There are lots of hotels to choose from in this area and you definitely don't have to stay at this one.
Horrible. No parking. Very rude front staff (not only to me but other guests). Bathroom filthy with TONS of dust and dirt in shower. Pink colors in the shower as well which is bacteria and means it hasn't been cleaned well in a long time. Hair in he shower as well. Then the sheets and the bed. NASTY!!! Dirt that rolled on the sheets as we moved them, counted at least ten hairs on the sheets. So we called the front desk twice with no answer and I immediately walked down. Two staff standing around doing nothing. Told them our room was filthy with dirt and hair on the sheets and received no apology. Then she asked me if she needed to give me more sheets.well duh, of course you do. And guess what I found in my new clean sheets (that I had to put on of course, because that's what you normally do when you pay to stay at a hotel) but more hair!!!
I am so disgusted by this place. Spending money to stay here is a joke. I can't wait to get out of here. So glad I will be leaving here by 5am to get to my flight. Oh, and the kicker..I am writing this from my hair infested sheets!!!
