Office was still locked and empty one hour into advertized complimentary breakfast. No answer to doorbell. Floors ice cold, but nice showerhead.

Watch out! They will take 1/2 of your money even if you check out w/in an hour of check in. We were given a room w/ a shower that did not drain. When we demanded our money back, the manager said he could only give 1/2 the money back (in small print on check in card---there is a reason why he does this) Unfortunately, you have limited choices in Dahlonega. The Holiday Inn Express is the way to go if you can get in. The manager threatened to call the police when we demanded our money back. I said, "Please do so we can settle this!" He did not call the police, but I will if he does not refund my money. Very, very shrewd. Move on to Dawsonville if you can't get into Holiday Inn Express or move on to the next city.

What can I say: clean rooms, well-priced. Not saying it's a four star motel, but for a Days Inn it's just right. Plus, the person at the desk (owner, maybe?) was super nice, friendly and accommodating!

Stayed here while doing a college tour with my daughters at UNG. Manager first explained why they charge your card twice and said one charge will drop off in a week. It was already done and there was nothing he could d about it. Then he stated they only have parking for 1 vehicle. My daughters were arriving separately with nowhere to park. When my daughters arrived the Mgr walked out to their car and asked what room they were in or if they were visiting and told them they couldn't park there. He was rude & mean to my daughters for no apparent reason. He made them move the car behind the hotel in the grass with no lights. It is NOT a parking lot. I am furious about the way this man treated my daughters and the unsafe place he sent them to park the car. Be careful with your credit card, debit card, kids and cars at this hotel!

Clean rooms, kinda thin walls. Lighting is by lamp only. The driveway is one way but isn't well enough marked for people to see it. Good free breakfast, 6:30-9:30am.

Hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. Great value for the price. Slight odor to room, but airs out quickly. Excellent bed and shower.

Clean, recently updated rooms and friendly staff making this a good choice for Dahlonega lodging. It's a great location that is only 5 minutes from the main square. The rooms have a large picture window with a nice view.

BEWARE!! Warning!! Read entire review!!
Super nice room with great mountain view. We arrived for the morning complimentary breakfast a bit late and the Innkeeper graciously brought everything back out. Will return here whenever we are in the area!
Wow what a difference a month makes. Never staying here again! Our room and our stuff gone through by cleaning personnel despite "Do Not Disturb" sign in card slot and our stuff in the room. Well before check out time. We work from the road and had confidential information in our room. Local law enforcement responded but unable to do anything unless we could prove money stolen. Wife's purse in room with credit cards may have been gone through. Cleaning staff laughed about it when I confronted them and manager. They "thought" we had checked out despite the aforementioned do not disturb sign in door and stuff in room. Do NOT trust this place!!
PS: the milk at breakfast was spoiled. If I could give lower rating I would. Negative number appropriate. Found out later that manager is also owner. Took no responsibility for actions of staff. Nasty man.response / report this review -

The owner of this place is a real jerk! Never coming back here again. Go to the Holiday Inn across the street instead. Nicer, cleaner, and staff is very nice.

My husband and I are retirees. We have been staying at this great motel for over 35 years each year. The motel is quiet, has a beautiful scenery with a huge window inside the motel, and the people who run the motel are so very gracious! If you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy the beautiful mountains of Dahlonega, you should stay in this motel. We always look forward to staying here and seeing the super nice people who run the motel. Donna Powell+ Geneva, Al.

The hotel waa very clean and everything in the room was in working order. The hotel is a little pricey for the quality level but I guess that is a location thing. It was also not very quiet and the breakfast and internet could be better. I would stay here again.
