So I really don't know why anybody would rate Dante Salon and Wellness Spa at one star. I mean any small business or large international corporation can't make 100% of their clients happy. Even Geico had a commercial back in the day about their 97% customer satisfaction rating and would have a funny reason as to why the other 3% were unhappy, but I digress.

I really want to stick up for this little treasure of Fairfax City. It has been a staple of the community for decades. I even used it as a landmark while learning to drive in high school.

They totally deserve every 4 and 5 star rating.

As long as I have known this salon, I have never seen any evidence that the owner, Dante, would allow a customer to simply be unhappy. I know he would make every effort to rectify a guest's dissatisfaction. He cherishes his Salon and Spa and takes pride in his business.

I hate getting my eye brows done. It's a phobia. I had a screen door hit me in the face when a gust of wind toor the door from my grip in kindergarten. It scraped my eyeball badly. I was taken to the doctor and they used special eyedrops and a light and I had to wear a patch until it healed. If anybody gets near my eye, I flinch. I hate closing my eyes to get my brows done. I would seriously rather get a bikini wax than get my eye brows done.

I went to Dante's to get my eye brows done. They took me back to their waxing room, it was a very calm and dim room in the back. Their aestheticitian shaped my eyebrows the best they have ever been shaped. She waxed, I didn't even feel that "smarting just waxed sharp searing" feeling when she pulled the wax strip off. It didn't tug my forehead skin or anything. It really almost felt like some one rubbed my eye brow instead of ripping off skin and hair (because that's what happens when you wax, it rips off skin and hair.) Hair removal is often somewhat violent and painful.

I didn't even feel her tweeze.

She also brushed them and trimmed them into perfect, becoming, beautiful, fashionable brows. I hate having them trimmed. I can normally feel every hair the brow scissors snip. One by one, no joke, it feels like grinding as the scissors close over each brow hair. ( look i know it sounds silly but after a bad eye injury, I'm so skiddish). Not with this lady. This aethetician was gentle and kind. She was a brow artist, truly.

Previously, having my brows done was an exercise in torture. I would get it done maybe every 6 months or for a special occasion.

I have tried threading and other methods for my brows but everything so far just sucked. Until this aesthetician at Dante's.

I can honestly say I have never had a more tolerable and enjoyable eyebrow experience. It was painless. The results were amazing. I didn't even break out from the waxing afterwards. Normally I do after a few days.

I've also had them do my hair for special occasions and they have consistently delivered hair happiness for almost 15 years. They've never done anything to make me a dissatisfied customer.

Sure some people might be unhappy, but I believe Dante and his staff would make every effort to make their guest happy. I really dont know why these people would be so whiney in their reviews with one star. Sure things happen, but I trust if something bad happened, it would be made right. It's only fair, if a business rectifies a mistake, to write a review that reflects that instead of leaving an ereoneous one star review to damage their rating and reputation.

Love, love, love Dantes! People whom I have not seen in several years do a double take. They ask if I've lost weight? I tell them it is my hair! I had mousy brown hair with not much style, but when I came to Dantes the wonderful colorist, Lilliana, and the wonderful hair stylist, Dante, cut and colored to suit my face and to suit my lifestyle. I could not be happier! I cannot recommend Dantes more highly!

This place ROCKS! It's beautiful, in a great location (right next to Starbucks on Main Street) & have awesome new services after their recent remodel! I got a SNS manicure recently & I must say its way better than shellac, not to mention healthier for your nails! The ZERO gravity pedicure is TO DIE FOR!

This place is great. I recently had a therapeutic massage from Darwin and it was awesome. It was my first time getting one and it was excellent! Darwin was very knowledgeable and skilled. I have a bad shoulder which he worked with and around. I felt fantastic afterwards. Overall the experience was awesome and relaxing. It was best thing I didn't know I needed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back and would recommend.

Additionally, if you need a pedicure or manicure ask for Jamie. She is talented in providing a pedicure or manicure. I pay a higher price for Jamie to receive a great service I do not receive at other nail salons.
