I have had two experiences with Dale Peterson Auto Body in less than 1 year. Both involved the same vehicle. The first time I was rear ended, my Lincoln MKX was new to me and I was very upset about someone damaging my new car. The staff at Peterson's got on the repairs right away and worked everything through the other driver's insurance which made it seem hassle free on my part and I was very pleased with the flawless work that was done to my vehicle.

I recently had another accident where I was rear ended but this time the damage was much worse! I spoke with Peterson's and they picked up my car from another tow yard for me the very next day, and within days they were in contact with the other driver's insurance to have their adjuster come out and assess the damage to my car. The insurance called me to let me know the extensive damage to the car was non repairable and that they were totaling the vehicle. I called the auto body one last time to obtain whatever possessions were left in my vehicle and they were understanding and showed compassion towards the situation.

You will never meet nicer guys! They are very polite and professional. I will never take my cars anywhere else. My family and I have nothing but great things to say about all of our experiences with Dale Peterson Auto Body.

I will never trust another auto-body shop with my vehicles. Peterson's will take the time to do it right. They are friendly and knowledgeable and will bend over backwards to take care of you.

My 2012 Chevrolet Volt was involved in an accident this summer. There was some significant body damage & the car would not start due to a unknown fault with computer system. Dale Peterson went above & beyond to return my car in working order. The paint job is flawless, and body work was done in a timely manner. They worked with the an electric car technician at the local dealership to diagnose the starting issue. This shop is very professional & friendly to work with. I would recommend their services to anyone.

As a side note. I noticed some negative reviews were regarding storage fees. I would like to clear this up for you. They did NOT charge me a storage fee for towing my vehicle to their shop/tow yard. However, they do have a state impound lot where police store vehicles that have been impounded. The storage fees are associated with impounded vehicles only, which fees are required by the state. That is why one reviewer had to complete paper work from the DMV to release their vehicle from the lot. There are a number of reasons why cars would be impounded and taken there. It is not the fault of the body shop that a car is impounded or are taken to the impound lot.

Dishonest charges

My vehicle was stolen last week and recovered by Springville police yesterday. The police informed me this company would be towing my vehicle to their storage yard. After speaking with the police I called Dale Peterson's and spoke to a person that seemed to be the manager/owner. He informed me that I would be unable to recover my truck that evening because the police still had some reporting and inspecting to do. I would therefore need to wait until the next day to pick it up.

Additionally, due to state requirements, I would need to obtain the impound release form from him, drive to Provo in order to get an official release by the DMV, and then drive back down to Springville to finish the process. He offered to fax the information to me. As a fax machine is about as outdated as a phonograph for someone my age I asked him to scan a copy and email it to me. He informed me he was unable to. Though Provo and Springville are not far apart this constituted another inconvenience to the process of getting back my stolen vehicle. Oh, and he also told me they only accepted cash payment. No scanner, only accept cash Is this some sort of geriatric chop shop? My first interaction with this company was not an impressive one.

I arrived at Dale Peterson's less than 24 hours after my vehicle had been towed. After satisfying the paperwork requirements I was informed that I would be charged an $80 fee for storing the vehicle for 2 days. So, though I could not have picked up the vehicle the day before because of police requirements and though my vehicle was in their lot for less than 24 hours I was still charged for 2 days' worth of storage fees. Their reason? Charging me for 2 full days of storage was not illegal. Big red flag right here. Just because something is not illegal does not make it any less ridiculous, dishonest, or unethical.

For the above reasons I rate Dale Peterson Body Shop as 1 star. Though I likely will not have reason to use this business in the future I will not recommend it to anyone who needs towing or auto body work done.

Peterson's towed my car after it was totaled in a wreck. I have Bear river insurance and it turned out they were an authorized "Bear care" facility so they were able to make working with my insurance to get the money for my care quick and painless. They were prompt to keep me updated on what was going on and very friendly and professional. I recommended them to my father-in-law when he was have problems with his truck and he had a good experience too. I would recommend them to anyone.
