Local favorite place. The Train Burger really is good. The rest of the menu is okay. It seems that lots of people go here and don't try to quiet the screaming kids, so be warned. The atmosphere here is truly geared for families, especially with small children. Be aware, it is popular and waits are to be expected.
This is a must stop if it’s your first time in Heber. They make amazing milkshakes and the burgers are big. Not little tiny things like you see at many of the national chains. You get a lot of quality food for a very reasonable price.
Be warned, this place is ALWAYS busy, so if you’re in a hurry, you need to know it might take 5-10 minutes longer to get your order, especially in peak lunch and dinner hours.
Tried the train burger that everyone raved about. It looked really good but my hubby and I thought it wasn't that great. The shake was good but not great. It was thin and not much flavor. Iceberg shakes are so much better. The fries were very good! Firm and thick and salty!
The atmosphere was fun with the trains all around.
The staff was friendly and efficient. There is plenty of seating and toys for kids to play with. The model train that runs around the restaurant is neat. The choices for soda we're plentiful. The food was filling and delicious, the onion rings we're crispy and pretty good. I would recommend this place if you are in town.
We were truly impressed with the employees here. Our son has peanut and egg allergies and the staff went out of their way to find out which of their menu items were peanut and egg free. Then, they made sure it was cooked in a separate area, so there wouldn't be any cross contamination! They were so kind and didn't make us feel like we were causing them undue stress.
I accidentally ordered an item I thought was egg free and the employee who was cooking our food came out from the back to let us know that she'd checked the bag of bread to be sure it was safe and it contained egg. Wow! I'm floored that she was so on top of things that she not only watched out for the allergen, but came out to let us know we needed to make a change.
Their items are a little pricier, but I would pay the higher price for the ambience in their cute little train themed restaurant and the excellent staff that make you feel welcome and take very good care of you! 4 thumbs up (my husband agrees with me too 😄!)
I went here off a recommendation from an employee. I've never been to Heber, but this shop makes great burgers. I got the Train with bacon combo. The fries are great, but I would suggest giving more. I got the medium but it seemed like a small. The sauce on the burger was great, but the fry sauce that came with the fries was subpar and very similar to Arctic Circle. They both have an expired taste. I think the exterior design was great. The tracks that led to the menu was fun and inviting. I enjoyed the customer service. The young girl who took my order was prompt and courteous. She also counted my cash back to me, something cashiers never do, but greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend this place, dispite my small nit picks, and come back again.
We absolutely LOVE this place! The food is delicious and they have a play area for kids. We live 40 minutes away from Dairy Keen, but it's always well worth the drive for good food and beautiful mountain scenery. I always recommend this place to everyone I know.
I have been here at least ten times and only once did I receive my order correct, and that time I got it while at the window. Generally when going through the drive thru you ALWAYS get asked to park and wait shakes are good? Chicken fingers are good. Everything is tastes like Nicholas Foods frozen prepared. I rarely go here any more.
I live in Heber, been going here for quite some time. They have a system that if you feel out a card they put your information on their computers. Well it gives you a credit under you last 4 digits of your number and your supposed to get coupons in the mail. well I filled out three cards. It's been like 2 1/2 month's. We have been going like at least 3 to 4 times a week. They still don't have my information in their computer. And to beat all someone else with the same last 4 digits keeps getting credit for my purchases. Getting kinda disappointed.
Great place for the kids. There is a train that runs around the ceiling and between dining areas, which the kids love. The device they use for alerting you the order is ready (similar to a sit-down restaurant) whistles like a train, which is really fun. Often very crowded, especially Saturdays, but still very efficient on getting food to you pretty quick. You do not typically have to wait very long to find seating.
I have been eating here since I was around 6 years old before they built their newer building. I have always loved this place. Amazing food, shakes and service. No wonder this place is always busy and I go here almost every time I pass through Heber. I wish they would open more locations ;)
My family goes here whenever we go up to our cabin in Heber. It is a great place to eat. The shakes are really good. Personally, I like the eggnog shake around Thanksgiving. Last year when my friends and I were there, ( plus my Girlfriend ) one of my friends lost a envelope that had about $70 in it and were driving down Provo canyon until we got about 10 minutes when we realized he had lost it, we drove back and we looked for it but we couldn't find it so the manager and a few other employees came out and asked us how much was there and we told them there was the aforementioned $70 in it, the manager went back inside and told the other people that were there the situation, and got a collection of money from (complete strangers) and my friend got a new envelope with the same amount. Basically, I just wanted to say that they (Manager and other customers) are the nicest people that I've met on this earth. It goes to show you that some people will surprise you about how kind they can be.
The service was fast and efficient. And the kitchen was crazy fast even with how busy it was. Had only just sat when the train whistle went off saying food was ready.
Food was good and hot. Burger wasn't anything to write home about but the shake was awesome and the ambiance had a great nostalgic feeling. Might hit here once more before I leave for my next stop.
This is one of my favorite, albeit nostalgic, burger places to eat, been coming here since I can remember. The food is very good, the shakes are my favorite! I think the atmosphere is wonderful, especially for a quick service joint. It's always busy on the the weekend but the service is relatively fast no matter what.
This place doesn't disappoint! It's the kind of place your kids will remember long after you stop in. The food was good, and the employees, despite being almost overwhelmed with customers, were on point and dished out our order quickly. It was crowded with kids on a field trip, but the efficiency of this establishment was impressive. Add on the fact that their ice cream is good, and they have a model railroad which runs throughout the interior, and you've got a pretty good lust of reasons you should stop in.
