First time eating wings here. They were good. Service was great.
Bad customer service. We try to support local businesses but the unprofessional behavior on 2 different occasions was enough for me to spend money elsewhere. Twice we were hung up on by woman claiming to be too busy to take a phone order and another who acted as though she hated her job. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.
This is one of the best places to get wings in Charlotte. I’ve been wanting to check it out for a while now, but just now got around to it. Wing King Cafe is also frequently mentioned as the best wings in Charlotte. It’s hard for me to say which is better since it’s been a few years since I’ve been to Wing King Cafe, but both have amazing wings.
We got the 25 wing sampler with Ginger, Hot Gold, Hot Ranch, Hot Fajita, Garlic Parmesan. All of the flavors were really good and the hot flavors weren’t too spicy (to someone who doesn’t like really spicy food). The Hot Fajita was definitely the hottest, but was still good to me. It had a strong lime flavor and was my husband’s favorite (he loves spicy food). We both agreed the Ginger was the weakest of the flavors we got - it had a teriyaki/ginger seasoning, but didn’t have much flavor at all. The charred flavor was good, but I was hoping for a much stronger ginger flavor. The Hot Ranch was a Buffalo Ranch and was pretty good. The Hot Gold was a mustard BBQ with a little kick and the Garlic Parmesan was pretty solid. Overall, there’s a ton of options to choose from and I would expect everyone to be able to find something they like.
The service is incredibly fast and friendly. They were happy to provide explanations and recommendations.
We will definitely be coming back next time we want some wings!
This place has been around for a long time. It is something of a hole in the wall but they have awesome blue cheese and ranch dressings which they make home-made. I highly recommend the "Hot Teriyaki" wings. Get them "extra grilled". They're baked and finished on the grill. They fall off the bone and with their homemade dressings, I may actually be addicted. I may go today!
Awesome local place great food, exceptional staff and watch your favorite teams!
Great staff and their lemon pepper wings are the best flavor I've ever had. And this is from someone that anywhere else gets ridiculously hot wings. Great tucked away neighborhood vibe that has a loyal following returning for decades.
Try the fried pickle spears and the hot gold is another great wing flavor.
Great wings and service. The place looks like a hole in the wall but the wings are awesome. I recommend the Hot Gold and Blazing.
Best wings and thighs in town! We came here several times and we still love it. It might not be healthy, especially the broccoli cheese balls. The wing flavors are awesome, but the parmesan are the best! Friendly staff, good beer, nice people. No fancy atmosphere, but that's not what you are looking for when you eat with your hands.
First time here, absolutely loved my wings. Fresh and hot with a really good lemon pepper sauce on them. Went in the afternoon and it was a great place to chill out and unwind.
Inconsistent wing size. When you think 15 is enough you'll wish you had ordered 30. Great Quality! Great flavor selection and Taste!
But that wing size ? Monster wings sometimes then mini-thumb munchers the next. Boo
This place is pretty much like wing king, maybe because it used to be Wing King at one point, I should have given them 4 stars because they were definitely understaffed but even then, the customer service was awesome. Must try wings: Hot Fajita and Lemon Pepper. Had an awesome experience, will definitely go back.
The place was recommended to us to try for dinner, but we found that it is not the most ideal place to eat (for us, at least). The waitresses were eating nachos, which is fine when you are out of view of the customersbut they weren't. The nachos were out in the open at the bar and placed where the glasses go when you are about to fill them up with beer. They literally had to move their nachos to refill drink orders. I felt like this was a little too out in the open (and frankly not all that sanitary at all). They would eat the nachos, lick their fingers clean, and take drinks out to the customers. I didn't once see them wash their hands or use a wet cloth to wipe them down, nothing. The Parmesan Garlic wings were just regular wings with garlic and that famous green bottled Parmesan powder (Kraft brand) just thrown on top of it. Regular wings, no sauce, no nothing. Just powdered cheese laying at the bottom of my tray. I guess I am so used to the delicious sauce that Buffalo Wild Wings uses when they put that down in front of me I honestly lost my appetite and didn't feel comfortable eating it. I ate one wing and just sipped on my coke until the rest of us were done. The manager was both helping behind the bar and was wiping a table when we walked in which is great to see because when a manager is willing to help his employees, it honestly makes the business look better! But by mid-meal he was drinking shots with someone who was watching the game. So, there goes that.
GREAT hole in the wall! My husband talked me into coming here and I'm glad I did. Great wings get it with the blue cheese!
