I stopped in for the first time for a quick slice of pepperoni pizza and a soda, and immediately everyone was so attentive! While waiting I noticed that this place is very neat and clean, the wait staff are VERY polite, and I can appreciate that. My simple slice of pizza was SO GOOD! Soft yet crunchy crust, gooey cheese, and overall great taste! 😋 I didn't get to check out a menu since I was running in for a quick bite, but the slice alone has me making plans to come back asap! Plus it's BYOB?!! Whaaaaaat!!! I'll be seeing you again Positano!!

Place has changed in the last 10 years. I grew up near this place and I have sensed a decline in the quality and taste of the food. Owner and staff always seem nice and hospitable. However the food lacks flavor, seasoning, and originality. I ordered the brother penne Alla chicken: the chicken cutlet was overcooked with the breading falling off, pasta is simple box pasta, vodka sauce lacked flavor and just tasted like heavy cream, and a little salt would have gone some way. I'd consider this dish something bought at a cheap pizza place for like 12 bucks, instead of the 18 bucks I paid. Your dollar could go further at other Italian restaurants in the nearby area. My belief is that over time restaurants like this tend to cut costs to increase profit margins with things like putting less protein, less seasoning, and good chefs in the kitchen. I'll take a guess that this type of practice has resulted in a decline in sales for the business as well.

It's ok food from a short order cook. The pizza is less than desireable. The strong point is the location. Please update that dreadful bird decor area on the ceiling. I would suggest just removing it and adding some fresh paint.

I have been a long time customer of Positano. The food and service are always great! Joe, Steve and the rest of the Positano family always go above and beyond to accommodate their customers. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great Italian food!

Fantastic experience. Food is on par with any Italian restaurant twice the price in the NJ area. We get a great deal of delivery as well as eat in on those nights we want to get out. Frankly the best Italian restaurant in northern NJ

Whether we dine in or order out the food is always fresh, hot and delicious. Service is great as well, a very welcoming environment. I love that there is an establishment like this one right in town! Keep it up guys!
