If you love beef ribs or regular ribs, you cannot top the Grub Hut in this area. My husband is picky about his beef ribs so we only go when we have saved up for him to get their platter, about $30, but he says worth every penny. I order chicken, usually one of the Mexican dishes, and it is equally delicious. A hidden gem.
Small and unassuming but my husband and I are die hard fans! We almost always order from the specials and we have never been disappointed. The space is small so there's usually a wait but it's worth it.
Best Tex-Mex restaurant in the area. Been coming here for years. Ribs are amazing. Try the pulled pork chimichangas, too, out of this world
Grub Hut is definitely a go-to restaurant for us. Everything from their freshly made salsa, to the perfectly smoked ribs and brisket we always leave completely satisfied. If I started listing all the things that we enjoy at Grub Hut this comment would go on and on and on and on!
Super great service and amazing food. You can tell the Chef puts great detail into the menu. Food is rich in flavor and texture. This was my first time here and I'll definitely be back!
Very good food! Expensive lunch prices (more like dinner prices) but good.
Far too often restaurants have trouble getting one thing right. Grub Hut, on the other hand, does three things right: Mexican food, barbecue, and regular pub food. Everything is lovingly prepared on premises and everything is delicious. If there were more than five stars available to me I would give more than five stars. This is a great place.
If appearance isn't a concern to you, this place has no flaws. The food is fantastic; a pleasant mix of Mexican and Barbeque, with chips and salsa to start off the meal. If you care about how the place looks, well go anyway because the food makes up for the small room and somewhat older tables and chairs. A location change and spicing up the interior would do a lot for these guys since the food stands well on its own.
Great Mexican and BBQ food. Good service. Room to sit outside under the awning on the street. Bring your own alcohol though probably more appropriate to bring beer or a table wine. I love the bbq ribs. Huge range of Mexican dishes and staff very helpful in modifying dishes to your request. Can get noisy when full (as it was for Father's Day). Don't look any further if you are looking for somewhere new locally.
Pretty friendly place! The wait was kinda long but when the food came out it actually didn't look that great [it was plated haphazardly] & they forgot my coleslaw. Once I started eating I was pleasantly surprised. The brisket & pulled pork I ordered was quite good but I tried other dishes on my table and they weren't that good. The prices are sorta high. It was super crowded. I'd come back but not right away.
Food is super yummy and unique!!! Love the intamate space and friendliness!
This place is a gem and in fact it is the Crown Jewel of Manville. The variety on their menu is unbelievable. The chips and salsa are delicious in this very popular BYOB restaurant.
Although I thought the food to be pretty good, they have more than once really screwed up on their service policies. Today, I called to see if there was a wait and they said no. When I got there 20 minutes later, they said there would be a 20 minute wait even though there were tables available. When I inquired about the tables, they said there were people who called up that were waiting for them. I reminded them that they don't take reservations and the woman said that if there is a wait you can call ahead to put your name on the list. I didn't have time to argue but what a crazy policyI called and couldn't hold a table but when I got there, I couldn't be seated because they were holding tables for folks who had called after me. THAT IS NO WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS!
Good food, service good and you get a lot of food for the money.
