I love this place! When I'm looking for something unique, fun or vintage I head over to talk to Skyler to learn what ideas they have for me when it comes time for gifts! I love the personal relationship you quickly build with their staff and the community that shops there. Plus, they host and partner on a bunch of events that helps our local community. Whether it's music, clothing, or more Culture shock is always one of my "go to places" to start.

This store is excellent if you're looking for new LP releases. They have a TON of new things, and a wide variety of older vinyl also. I typically shop for used records, and find that they're quite a bit more here. However, it's a fast stop to see what they have in, and new acquisitions are placed in separate sections, so you don't have to dig through a section and try to figure out what's just arrived. There are a variety of other knick-knacks here, but honestly I've overlooked all them. I'm focused on the LPs. :) The people are way nice and easy to talk with. They also sell used audio equipment (turntables, receivers, speakers, etc). Definitely worth a stop at least once.

Unique clothing and gifts for everyone! The other half of their store is records and I don't own a record player but because one of the owners took the time to explain to me the merits of vinyl, when I decide to buy a record player, I'm getting it from here! The owners host live music and events all the time. They're truly dedicated to supporting the local community here in Rockford.
