I have enjoyed my stay at the Crowne Plaza so far. We got a room on a high floor with an awesome view of the westside of Albuquerque and downtown Albuquerque. The one drawback is there is only one elevator for the entire Hotel. During busy times this is a little Annoying to have to wait. I ended up taking the stairs which wasn't bad either I got my exercise and this flights upstairs are short.

The location is nice, yet a little dated but be very aware that the location is in a high crime area and their "on site security patrol" is only there 11 pm to 7 am and does not do a very good job at patrolling or deterring people breaking into vehicles.
And if you are broken into, know that the staff is all but helpful nor will they honor standing up to their lack of security.
I was there for 9 hours and witnessed APD there twice, never seen the security patrol and vehicle was broken into within sight of the front door while parked directly under a street light.

We held our Wedding Reception recently at the Crowne Plaza. The Event Manager's were GREAT! They were helpful in coordinating our reception and seeing things through. I would give them five stars!! However, we had MANY issues with the reservations from the very beginning. We were told that there was a room block for our wedding, but when guests called they were informed that there was no wedding event with our name. Credit Cards were charged two to three weeks prior to the actual stay with the response of, "It's a busy time of year because of Balloon Fiesta." Fine, but if credit cards were going to be charged that far in advance, they should let the customer know. We have had a few issues as of recent with credit cards being charged double what was quoted for our room block and when we (myself and other friends and family included) have called, we have been blown off as if it is our fault there are issues with being charged. If I could've had our wedding reception there and had our guests stay elsewhere, I would've done that. The reservations and front desk issues have caused more headaches than were necessary.

The hotel is a beautiful property that is visibly not being maintained quite as well as it could be. The amenities are fantastic, as are the atmosphere and staff, but the devil is in the details (as the common phrase states) and some detailed maintenance is needed. Overall, however, I would definitely go back again.

Crown Plaza charges almost triple the amount during the Balloon Fiesta. There is a patient that stays with Crown Plaza at least once per month. This company ended up charging him the usual discounted hospital rates and put him up in his usual “favorite” room. I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. They have been more than understanding and accommodating!

The hotel is clean and the beds are very comfortable but that is the only positive attributes. There is limited parking for guests. The bathrooms are tiny. There were no luggage racks in the room and housekeeping didn't know where to find any. We are in an executive room which is a basic hotel room no extra perks for the extra price. There is only one elevator for the tower building, so there is a wait for the elevator. Not everyone at the front desk is nice and helpful. Won't be returning to this hotel in the future.

The hotel isn't in the best area, but it is clean and nice. It has nice ballrooms and has a convenient layout to get around the hotel. Restaurants are a little pricey.

We went out for my birthday and we're really looking forward to it. The last time we had eaten here, our dinner was superb. Not so last night. It was just ok. Our grain salad was very good. There is a very limited menu if you don't eat meat. I was hoping that the fish special would appeal to me but I don't care for swordfish. I had the crab stuffed Scottish salmon which sounded better than it tasted. My husband ordered a ribeye cooked medium that came out rare. The best part of our meal last night was the delicious bread pudding.

The lounge hasn't changed in 20 year and that's a good thing. Cozy and simple atmosphere with a small but tasty menu. Great location for professional meetings.

Came here after another hotel overbooked and couldn't honor our reservation. Crown Plaza was better than expected, with a fantastic outside seating area, pool, and great atmosphere. The views from the 11th floor were super cool. I'd recommend this hotel.

Amazing hotel. Clean rooms. Comfy beds. Very quiet rooms. We had a family of like 5 staying next to us and never heard them. Have a really cool service were you will out what you want for breakfast and put it on the door before 1am and they bring it to you at the time you want. And their room service food is cheap (:

A beautiful hotel! Spotless, clean and comfortable rooms. The lobby decor is beautiful. Very busy hotel and it appears to be a great location for hosting events and meetings.

We loved seeing hot air balloons in the morning from the balcony of our room!
