The ABS/no traction light was lit on my 2011 Dodge Journey. After taking it to an area recommended shop (and paying $45 for an estimate!) I was told I needed to replace the entire wheel bearing since the sensor that went out was integrated into the part (even though the wheel bearing itself was in perfect condition) for $450!! Crete Service Station had also been recommended so I stopped in, without an appointment, hoping for a second opinion and better news. Rob dropped what he was doing and went outside to look over my car once I'd described what the other place had found. After a bit of pondering, he wondered out loud if in fact we could just replace the sensor. He spent a little time online, found the information he needed and located the part. He ordered it and fit me in before they closed down for their annual summer vacation closure too! The best part: I walked out with only a $145 bill- and a warranty on the part and work. I've found my 'go-to' mechanics! And ladies, I no longer feel vulnerable, taken advantage of or scammed because of my lack of car repair knowledge. These guys are fair, honest and reliable.

Excellent service. We've brought our vehicles here for 12 years and have never had a problem. I don't even bother calling for better pricesI just tell them the problem, hand them the keys and wait for them to call me to pick up my car.

Not sure why all the good reviews. If you want to be told "we will check it out" and then left following up with them for details, this is your place. On top of it, they never repaired the issues with our vehicle after 3 attempts and alot of money. These qualified mechanics directed us to the dealership for further repairs. Do yourself a favor and head to James Herr in Steger.

I can tell there are some good techs here and the location is convenient. I took the time to see that on the wall there are plenty of certs and notoriety from the BBB also. It would have been 5 stars but to my surprise they took the time to disconnect and change all of the settings on a dash cam inside the car (without bringing it up to me when I payed the bill) which in turn costs me the time I could have used to change oil myself to get it set back up. They also did not whipe up obvious oil spills under the hood of the car. First time there and although small issuesbeing a prior tech myself I will not be bringing any other one of my cars to this place unfortunately.
