This place is incredible. From the start with the cart guy bringing us carts to the car to load our clubs, to the nice people at the Pro shop, start spot and restaurant. The course is beautiful with lots of signature spots filled with Florida nature. Saw tons of birds, including a wild turkey that ran with us on one of the holes. Not a lot of houses on the course. Only complaint is the sand traps being hard packed, but the course and people easily make this a five star rating. They also have some deals, especially during weekdays.

Why do we call this place Crescent JOKES?
Because their efforts to properly host a golf tournament is literally a joke.
The most recent evidence of this was when we were playing in a charity event the first weekend of December.
Despite the event clearly offering a shotgun start of 12pm, many teams did not even have a cart until roughly 12:45pm and did not tee off until almost 1:30pm.
That's completely inexcusable as weather was no factor.
This has happened with just about every golf event my friends and I have played in at this property over the last three years.
Why? Because Crescent Oaks puts too many people on the golf course to maximize revenues rather than having a workable plan to accomodate group outings when play is scheduled to begin.
For this last event, we left altogether rather than wait around for a golf cart and waste our time here. Especially when the tee sheet had as many as three groups teeing off one hole, which should absolutely never be done when setting up a golf tournament for pace of play purposes.
The golf course itself has some redeeming qualities when it is dry and in any kind of condition, but Ace Golf must hire someone to work here that actually is qualified to run golf outings and has control of the tee sheet on those days.response / report this review -

Course has great character and is in decent shape. Some of the tee boxes need some work but the greens are running very true.

Course was well kept. Even during the rainy season, greens were quick. Course was well watered and seems to have great drainage.

Nice layout. Seen a deer on the tenth tee box. Course was a bit wet for no rain in a few days. Greens were longer than I like but rolled true. Superintendent must not got a Starbucks ,cups were set in a hard spot every green. Challenge was nice. It's a local favorite of mine 18 holes 3 hours.

What a JOKE.. we make the turn and are waiting on the group that we are following. The starter come and infoms us that we are no longer following the group we have followed the entire front nine but instead we have to wait so he can start a new group off the back?!!? What kind of a joke is this place.

On a late afternoon our 3 some pulled up to the 1st tee, coarse was quiet.
only to be directed to the 10 tee again, this has happened before. the starter said I have a 4th and told the single to get in the cart with me, I said no, hes fine, the starter said no, I need him in your cart to save gas. omg, we all looked at him like he was nuts. we all paid for our carts and we didn't know each other , he pulls his clubs out of his cart, gets his belongings and moves into my cart. our 4th starts bitching right a way, and I didn't blame him, he wanted to play alone. and it wasn't crowded. So my new partner starts having a bad round, and hes bitching. we finish the back 9. we move to the 1st tee and I can see where someone had mowed down the 10th tee only start sign. my new partner is still bitching, he had lost all his balls. we tee off and he starts saying I should have jumped off at the turn. I ended up taking him back to his car from the 3rd tee.
I've played this course many times, this new management team has missed placed priorities. this is is supposed to be a fun leisure sport. forcing strangers into the same cart is wrong. Maybe they will read this, probably not. (save gas) REALLY?response / report this review -
