Crane's Tavern is a well established restaurant in Hilton Head South Carolina. It has a large bar where food as well as drinks are served. The dining room is quaint and is decorated for the holidays. The menu is extensive and include meat, fish and vegetarian options. An Early Bird special is nightly from 5 to 6pm. Several items are available and include salad, bread, entre and a glass of wine. We enjoy Crane's.

Consistently good food and great service. The shrimp and grits were a refreshing update on this dish. Rib eye steaks were tender, flavorful and cooked perfectly. The signature scalloped potatoes did not disappoint. Great atmosphere and knowledgeable staff.

First time. Excellent sevice, cozy warm inviting atmosphere, and can't remember the last time that we had such a wonderful meal. Best steaks ever..tasty,juicy, tender. Scalloped potatoes and creamed spinach were awesome. The bread was fresh and couldnt get enough of. I don't think you can find any better steak on the island!

Quaint, quiet and beautiful little restaurant. The steak was melt in your mouth delicious and reasonably priced for the high quality. The service was excellent as well! Definitely a place to go time and time again!

Burger at the bar was awesome. Thanks Toby for great service. This is my third Crane's restaurant I've been able to visitAmbler, Trooper and now Hilton Head.

As soon as we walked into this place I knew it wasn't the place we were going to get served. The host literally to our face stated she didn't have anything available. And behind her were at least seven open tables. Made us completely feel not wanted there or welcomed. And after standing there five minutes she points to a table by the kitchen door and says this is the only table we have now but as you can see it's a table no one wants.. I mean after feeling humiliated I made a fake reservation and left.

So I really would leave no stars if I could because his is how badly I feel about this place.

Excellent prime rib. Best ever
Great service.
The scalsped potatoes, and cream spinach, are fantastic.
Veal was out of this world.
All in all, very good experience, I will not hesitate to come back for more.

We went here for our rehearsal dinner and it was way over priced and it very fancy. They didn't even have sweet tea to drink nor did they tell us until after giving us unsweetened tea. We couldn't find any restaurants that could accommodate 13 people except this one, and we found out why. Most meals were around $40/person

Exceptional wine selection and the cuts of meat we ordered were perfect. I had the 12oz ribeye med/rare (fenominal) my wife had the 8oz prime rib (perfect flavoring). The sides were great too. Our server was quick and helpful. Make a reservation and eat here. You will not be disappointed.
