Great historical battlefield park. Be sure to leave time for the battlefield walk or tour. Part spongy race-track paved part gravel. Would be nice if the trail was entirely ADA compliant.

Great place to walk, jog, relax and refresh while learning about our history and reflecting on those who fought and many who died for us here.

The park itself (visitors center, walking trail, signage) it very nice & well kept.

The reason I only give this 2 stars is because this park literally is only a 1-mile walking trail with a few signs to read about what happened at the battle & a couple of 2D metal cutouts of soldiers firing their guns. I thought maybe we would see some mockup mannequin army standing out in the field showing us what it was like during the battle. Maybe some sound effect playing from cheap speakers along the path.

There is a visitors center with VERY helpful staff & a mini museum with some musket & cannon replicas.

They have solar panels on the roof & really cold water fountains.

Overall - I'm glad the Americans won over the British & im sure it was a very difficult experience for everyone involved.

But if we are going to erect a visitors center & pay money to create a nice walking trail, just call it "cowpens battlefield walking trail".

Awesome historical site. My 9 and 11 year old loved it. We studied about this site for a while before going so it was a little easier for them to understand once we got there. The presentation inside is really nice and helped us to understand the events that led up to Cowpens.

We really enjoy coming here for our hikes and to get back to nature. I was, however, very disappointed to find out you cannot hide rocks here. I don't understand why?

The staff are great, perhaps the best of any NPS we've been to. There are a couple trails, all filled with signs about the battle. Trails are well maintained and a great piece of history about Revolutionary War. The Robert Scruggs House is restored to its original look when it was built, with a history all its own.

I have been going here all my life. It has nurtured my love for history, for our southern culture, and for nature. I am so thankful to have grown up here and to be able to still frequent a place so full of memory for me in our rapidly changing day and age.
