If I could give this hotel 0 stars, I would. They have a security issue and they have customer service issues. And this was hand down the worst hotel experience I've ever had.
I returned from dinner at 9:30 PM to find someone in my hotel room (she asked me who I was and wouldn’t let me in). I returned to the front desk and the woman confirmed they had not actually given my room away while I was gone for the day. She called 911 and the police showed up.
The short version of the story is that the police eventually talked their way into the room and arrested the woman who had taken it over for the day. From what I could tell she had walked through the lobby, taken a variety of food from the hotel pantry, and found her way into my room where she spent the day eating (my food and the food she got from the lobby), trying on my clothes, and putting on my makeup, and enjoying my toiletries. When the police left they told me to be careful packing up my stuff as she was likely shooting up in my room, but they had not found any needles yet.
When I left in the morning I had my hands full and I thought I heard the click of the latch behind me but I didn’t tug on the door to verify. Lesson learned there. I will say my room was sight distance to the lobby and this lady clearly walked through the front door to get there based on the supplies in the room. It would seem the hotel has a security issue of some sort as well.
The hotel apologized and when I checked out they said they had comped my room. The manager just called me now to “apologize” but told me he was only comping me 1 night instead of both nights as they promised. What a joke.
Me and my family wanted to get away for the weekend. Get out of Albuquerque and get the kids somewhere close yet felt like a vacation. We chose to stay here and it was awesome. Yes they are doing some renovations but did not affect our stay at all. The constructions workers were nice and quiet and the room was perfect for us with 3 kids. The pool was awesome very welcoming and clean. We had a blast and my husband has decided every trip we go on we will be staying at Courtyard Marriotts from here on out. The front desk people were awesome, they even text us the church times for the Plaza Sunday service. They went above and beyond we loved it!
Normally this hotel would rate a 5 but construction & painting are being done in several common areas and halls. The door closest to our room is inaccessible for construction, forcing us to cross half of the hotel to reach our room. Had to duck under plastic sheets to enter the building.
Pool is nice and hot tub felt welcoming. One of the two hot tubs jets wasn't working. They were out of towels when we went but restocked just before we finished.
The room is clean and well furnished. Quiet room. That is until we turned the AC on. The compressor made too much knocking noise to leave it on. Good thing it isn't too hot yet.
Nice modern lobby gives a good first impression, get to your room through the open air corridors and you take a step back in time. The rooms are in dire need of remodeling they show their age in wear and outdated style and disrepair. At least the mattress was good. The standard internet is slow and unstable, connections keep getting lost. Misty in the restaurant was a bright point. She is friendly, fast and efficient. I will not visit again.
This hotel was exceptionally clean and we'll kept. My stay was quiet and relaxing aside from the fact that there was day time construction in my hallway. Regardless I had a comfortable stay. My only gripe would be the lack of a continental breakfast.
The bed was comfy. But you can hear people walking around upstairs and you could hear traffic from the window. What really did it for me was they don't have a comp breakfast. That's the least they could do since the price of the rooms they need to appreciate there customers a lil bit.
Very clean and quiet hotel. Nice indoor pool with 2 hot tubs, well stocked bar/bistro. Friendly staff
It's was decent. The staff was friendly. The rooms need to be updated. Their were a few electrical sockets that did not work. The food at the bar sucked!
Such a beautiful room. I loved the indoor/outdoor walkthroughs. Absolutely loved the pool room with the window ceilings! The staff was extremely helpful and very nice. Housekeeping was very helpful and patient. Definitely top 3 on my list of hotels!!
Very nice, well maintained older hotel. The room is clean, bright, and well supplied. The courtyards are lovely, and there is an indoor pool. The restaurant offers a limited menu, but the food is very good. There is also a full service bar. Rooms open to a breezeway overlooking the courtyards, and building access is by card key only so it is very secure. Staff is extremely courteous and helpful. I highly recommend.
A beautiful hotel. Very clean. Friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again.
The staff was great. But the facility was awful. The sofa cusshions in the rooms were stained and fraying apart. The air conditioning unit sounded like a jet engine and did little to cool the room. Fully half the keyed enterences readers were visibly falling apart. The people were great, but until they property is renovated, I won't be staying here again.
The room was clean and comfortable. There was a movie crew there the second night of our stay, which blocked most of the parking. We had to park on the other side of the motel from our room. We were not notified of this happening when we checked in. Also, the room lacked a smoke detector. We informed the front desk, but nothing was done.
The Sad State of Marriott is on display at this Courtyard hotel. Dirty, poor repair and poor service (why bother offering Platinum Elite status if you don't acknowledge it?). The rooms was dirty and smelled of mildew. The carpet had a hole in it, and had obvious stains. The bathtub was dirty and worn. The front door was beaten and did not seal (light and wind came through the door). The air conditioner sounded like an a cross between an airplane propeller and a freight train. The overall facility was dirty and in poor repair. Combined with a we-don't-care attitude, it was a very poor quality stay. Time to look at Hilton properties, again!?!
We checked in to find out we had been downgraded. The guy at the front desk was a jerk. No apologies. Three days with 4 of us in one room and no one cleaned our room. The beds are horrible. It's not designed well.
The only good thing was the bartender. Very sweet and fun.
I do NOT recommend staying here.
