Great location right in the heart of the historic district, with almost all the sights a walkable distance away. Rooms well-maintained and clean, with helpful and friendly staff working the front desk. Would definitely recommend and will stay here again next time I'm in Charleston.

Front desk was friendly.. slow however.. breakfast was a nightmare.. waited 45 minutes.. at 25 I saw orders coming out that were ordered over 15" after mine.. I went up and asked what the problem was she asked if I would like it to go. I responded yes.. at another 20" still no order. And another round brought out I informed I would like a refund.. had to go to front desk.. response was to comp the parking which there were none in the lot or the deck I had to park in front of the hotel..

Stayed here over labor day weekend and it was great. Clean, friendly, great location and relatively quiet. For the location in downtown you might expect it to be a bit loud but it worked out great, especially for our kids. The staff was great. We had to check out unexpectedly and they were very accommodating, even giving back the points we used for the stay. There location was great, easy to get to the main streets with shopping, restaurants and activities. I'd definitely stay get again.

WOW! I haven't had service like this ... ever. The concierge Andrea was amazing, she gave us perfect recommendations for what we wanted out of our trip in Charleston. The front desk was always helpful and amazing. They thought of everything ... we could even check out umbrellas ... which they didn't have at our other hotels. The housekeeping was awesome always greeted us with a smile and a friendly comment. The rooms were super clean. We even went to get a coffee and the shop was closed and someone who worked there that was cleaning up got back there and made us our drinks. We loved Charleston and I think the service at the hotel really made it amazing!

Wonderful Location in the heart of the downtown historical district of Charleston. Any and everything you Travel to Charleston to see is either within walking distance or a few short Minutes away. The staff has always been full of southern hospitality Everytime I've walked inside the double doors. Mike Davis is a very familiar face to me there. If you need anything, even outside his "line off duty" you can go ahead and consider it done. With a smile.

If you don't care about being able to change the thermostat, then this is the place for you. If you do, DON'T stay here. During my stay there, we turned the air down to the lowest setting and it was still warm in the room. It's clear the thermostats only work to a certain extent. Also, the parking is limited on the property. Otherwise you have to park across the street.

The hotel is covered in Awesome Sauce. I just checked out today after a 3-night stay and I wanted to take the time to thank the staff. They were top notch and saw to every need we had during our stay. We chose the Marriott Historic District because of it's central location. I was attending a trade show (at the Charleston Marriott Convention Center across town) so I was busy during the day, and my wife was able to take advantage of the proximity to walk around shopping on King Street, or head over to the Market District for a rooftop lunch. Please take my 5 star rating for what it is - for the price, this is a great hotel, in a great location. I'm not saying that this is the finest hotel in Charleston, because it isn't. But the value is outstanding, the room and bed were very comfortable and quiet, and the pool was lovely. I highly recommend the hotel, and I look forward to staying again. FYI - they are doing a remodel in November, so it will only get better.

I had a fabulous stay in this location. As we drove up I was greeted with a delightful smile by a wonderful man named Meril who had a Haitian Accent which made me feel right at home. He also helped me retrieve my phone charger which I carelessly left in my room after checkout. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, but it was the people who made my stay worthy. Candace who worked at the front was so helpful and again had a beautiful and genuinely friendly smile when she greeted me. Customer service is becoming a "lost art" so I truly appreciated the people that make this hotel run. 🎊🎉

French Quarter Inn is beautiful! The woodwork, couches, chairs and fireplace make a warm and inviting lobby. The courtyard is a wonderful space to take your breakfast or wine and cheese. The room was amazing! The extremely high ceilings, large bathroom, comfy beds, bath robes, turn down service (with chocolates and water) felt luxurious.

Wonderful location and beautiful rooms. The room felt a bit smaller that some other courtyards I have stayed in but the decor and quality were of great quality. The front desks recommendation for dinner wasn't very good and that is the only real complaint I have.
