My boyfriend and I stopped here for a bit on our way to California, Betsy is a very sweet woman. She graciously let me snap a couple of pictures of the inside of the mine (we didn't have time to stay for the tour) and told us a little bit about the history.

This is a cool place for photographers who appreciate history and olde time-y shots. When I make it back to Colorado I'll definitely be taking a tour!

Way overpriced for such a short walk down an abandoned mine. Would not do again. Kids enjoyed panning for about an hour and that was it.

Very interesting experience. You actually go into the mine and experience the conditions the "real" minors endured. Wear a jacketcold in the mine.

Great experience. Betsy and her husband give a lot of really cool info. Would recommend wearing a sweatshirt because it gets cold in the tunnels. Also would recommend the last tour at 4 pmyou get to experience it a little longer! Definitely a must see in Breck!

This was a fun stop in a scenic town. I enjoyed the mine tour and it gave me a good appreciation for how tough it used to be for the guys who went down into the mines. Panning for gold requires patience and I only managed to get two flakes after a lot of effort and a quick lesson in "speed panning". My kids lost interest in panning, they're ages 6 & 8, but for myself and my wife, we stayed at it tenaciously, it was addicting in a way. Overall a fun stop.
