What a great start to my stay here at Cornerstone apartments! I just moved here less than a week ago and had a few minor issues with the apartment. I contacted Cynthia and she immediately had them addressed and I am also very impressed with Ernie the maintenance professional! He was very prompt and professional! I would definitely recommend this community to friends and family!

This will be my second year living in cornerstone apartments and I actually enjoy it. However, there are a few things I wish would change. I can say after reading the reviews, in my opinion, you can definitely tell that Cornerstones read the reviews. A lot of the stuff I saw in the reviews are things they are changing. They removed the gate that never worked, the upkeep of the area is more apparent, and have become stricter about the amount of cars in the complex (parking use to suck).
As for my living conditions
Pro:
1. relatively quiet. On weekends it was pretty rowdy but I'm pretty carefree when it comes to weekends.
2. I felt safe. I could get home any time of night and still feel like I can get to my door safely.
Cons:
1. Roaches are everywhere. Luckily I personally have my apartment sprayed by a family member, so roaches aren't a issue for me.
2. Walls are pretty thin so you do hear everything. But I also live around a ton of kids, so the noise dies down around the time I'm going to bed. On weekends I pretty much don't care.
3. There is aalways a lady coming sround knocking on the door screaming tamales. You can hear her before she even makes it to your door.
4. Advertisement is ridiculous. You will always come home to some kid of business card taped to your door.
5. Office staff is pretty rude. Only one I can actually talk to and get help from is Cynthia. Whenever I need something handled Cynthia is always the one I call.
6. People are very disrespectful when it comes to the trash. For some reason people think it's smart to pile their trash in front of the compactor. But by the time I get home from work it is cleaned up.
Overall, this can be a hit or miss place. For me, it's a hit. I enjoy living here and I hope that things only get better from here.

HORRIBLE No diversity and on top of that they are borderline racist. You will get complaints from people and they be the ones DOING IT. I wouldn't stay here if it was FREE!

DO NOT move here! The neighbors have no common courtesy, they really are feral people. I've had to call the police almost every week. They don't understand this is a shared building and they only pay to make noise in their apartment not on yours too. Your wall, floor, or ceiling will be vibrating cuz they play music with a terribly loud base. Im pretty sure back in their Pueblo a loud base means they are wealthy (Cuz they can afford to own one) so they don't mind ruining your sleep. We do have thin walls amyway, I can hear the Getto dude beside me snoring 5 times out the week. I have a renovated apartment and everything is broken, the other day a door knob came off on my hand as I was opening the door. The dishwasher stopped working the first day I moved in. Do not even think the laundry facility is a plus, it makes your clothes stink! There are people hanging out outside sitting on their trucks in the parking lot getting drunk every single week. They do not park in parking spaces, they block you in instead. Immigration should really make a drive through here n make Doraville a more peaceful place. I'm seriously thinking about calling ICE myself. The office does not know how to handle this people and they only tell you the manager will call you back so you stop calling them. They will make excuses every single day as to why the manager can not be reached. They do not care about you once you sign the lease. Do not sign your peace away. I regret ever stepping in this apartment complex. $800 per month in this complex will only get you about 3 hours of peace.

I hate this ap the first day i came on summer the pool haded trash at night Bugs and snakes are bitting thats why i moved to a house and i could smell the trash at night icant sleep becuse their is so much Bugs they bite me at night the dumper is far way it takes 20 munets to get there these aparmets are ugly and diuscuestink i wish these aparmets dont exist

I lived at these apartments for about four months. In the duration of my time being there, I came across multiple problems that ultimately made me end my lease. First of all I will start out with the pros of the apartments here. I rented out one of their newer 'renovated' apartments. Overall, it was nice and clean and I enjoyed the colors and the appliances. The highlight of this place was the apartments themselves, I thoroughly enjoy living in there. Another good thing about this apartment is that it is very close to Buford Highway which has many good food markets and other things to do.

The Cons:
-The general area wasn't kept up well. there was more dirt, mud and tree roots in the front of my apartment than bushes, grass and or flowers. every time I would head to work and come home, I would see trash on the roads and walk ways going to my apartment. Once or twice per week, I would see lawn care people either cutting the grass or leaf blowing. Even with this, it didn't make much of a difference.
-Parking is extremely scarce. I lived close to the front of these apartments, if you didn't get back say around 7:30, it would be very hard to find a parking spot at all. Normally after this time, there may be one or two spots open down away from your apartment. I'm not sure, maybe each apartment has two or three cars, but I found myself having to park farther away to where I couldn't see my car.
-The walls are extremely thin, and I am talking THIN. Almost every night I could hear my next door neighbors baby so clear, I had a hard time sleeping many nights per week. My down-stairs neighbor had a horrible habit of blaring the same two songs to which my floor would shake continuously for hours. I'm sure not everyone will have this experience, but this is what I had.
-the children. All apartments have children of course, but for some reason, the kids around here think that cars are jungle Gyms. I have had multiple occasions where I would either see them on my car or find hand and foot prints on the tops of my car, and not to mention the continous alarms going off from others because of the kids hitting them with soccer balls or which ever. That is intolerable.
-Since the apartments are close to a water treatment facility the water will almost always taste and smell of chemicals. Since I was so close to the facility, the chemicals were very concentrated. I would have to run my water quite often to let the backup go away.
-The laundry facility was decent, until I had part of my clothes from the dryer taken. I'm not sure why part of them were, but none the less, I didn't use them again.
-each month I would receive an email stating that you can pay your rent online "with a quick and easy payment". There is no such way to pay online through their portal and the option was taken down and never fixed.
-the entrance has gates that always stay open, I don't understand why they don't either fix them or take them out. the yellow pole with the gate opening box at the entrance is in a weird position so its a little cumbersome driving around it.

overall, the apartment wasn't bad at all, I thoroughly enjoy living in the renovated space. But the other factors in the end outweighed what I could tolerate on a daily bases. If anyone is looking into these apartment buildings, I would say check them out anyways, maybe your experience will be different than mine.

The people in apartment 606 are nasty! They put their trash outside their door everyday which is against the policy. The stray cats come by and rip through the garbage and now there is trash all over the floor outside. I can smell their trash in my living room! So many disgusting people living in building 600! I'm so ready to move!
