I don't have any real complaints. There was no switch for the venting in the bathroom, which, lead to excess stream from showers and smells from basic bathroom usage. Otherwise, it was fine. I was not there for much else other than sleep. Pretty good needs. Idk if they had complementary breakfast, but I expect not.

Extremely overpriced for such a dilapidated Hotel. From your window you can see a Holiday Inn, which is immaculate in comparison and only about $20 more a night. Almost every single person working at the Consulate Hotel was rude, to the point of yelling at other guests (However, the cleaning personnel were very nice). The dual queen suite on the top floor does not contain a refrigerator, or a microwave and the TV is a 20-inch old school CRT TV. Majority of the amenities that did come with the room, the lamp, the television remote, telephone, the coffee maker the blow-dryer were all broken as were the towel racks, the closet door, and mirror. My consulate Hotel experience was not an isolated incident, numerous other guests complained about very similar things while staying there (one couple moved their room 3 separate time all having similar conditions). I was surprised. Very affordable, had the suite which is bigger than some 1 bedroom apts. Older tv, the top floor had yet to be updated. Nice pool and hot tub. $10 to park in the lot/garage but street spot were always available. They allow dogs which was nice. Easy to get to, the location is good. Downsides are 1 washer and dryer for the entire hotel. They apparently get overbooked so when reserving on their site your room is not guaranteed so had to check out unexpectedly. Overall it's nice and would stay again.

The place actually advertises itself as a hostel. No San Diego residents. You have to show ID stating that you don't live in San Diego County in addition, one must produce proof that they are traveling (plane ticket/bus voucher, perhaps). No visitors after 10pm. This is interesting because my friend who rented the room has lived in San Diego his entire life. I got there about 1am and walked right up without a problem even though it was after 10pm. The night staff even directed me to where the complimentary coffee and tea is located. Clean, cheap ($59 usd) and very friendly. And who says you can't put a metal bowl in the microwave?

The place does not even deserve one star. My son stayed there Labor Day weekend to attend a family wedding. The hotel is filthy. It has the strangest odd smell. His original room was changed as the air conditioning did not work. The hot tub was out of order, the pool lights were not on. He decided to call it a night and go to sleep. The place is worse in the light of day. Paint peeling in the room. There were ants and black mold in the bathroom. He waited until he got home to take a shower. He did state that the housekeeping staff was very nice but hands were tied by management. They should give you a free tetanus shot with each arrival.

It's a 2 star hotel. Mold in the bathrooms, old TVs that barely work. Only a minifridge. NO FREE BREAKFAST, despite where you read it, there is no free breakfast. There's a built in restaurant that serves $8 breakfast burritos. It was decently cheap and a walks distance to the marina and other restaurants. Beds were clean, the rest of the room wasn't. Fold out couch bed is uncomfortable.

Quiet. Comfortable well appointed rooms. Bedding very comfortable. Clean well maintained and nice looking hotel. Rooms a little small but still very comfortable. Very nice hard working service staff. Right near Old Town Prague. Cafe has great food. Easily a 5 star Hotel. I only gave it 4 stars as the rooms are smaller than other 5 star hotels and there was not enough drawer space to unpack while we were here. I definitely would recommend this hotel.

Good value for the price. We reserved two rooms The single King room, with New flooring & flat screen was nicer than the double Queen which still had very old carpet & a box tv. The ice machine down by the pool doesn't work, head to floor 5. Great location close to everything, grocery store, bank & restaurants within walking distance.

Good price but the coffee was moldy, the breakfast sucked and i saw a cockroach. Not to mention that they make you pay an extra $10 for parking amd their elevator was down. Not a great place but cheap

The hotel reeked of smoke, there were cockroaches in our room, mold on our coffee maker and bags and their continental breakfast was a selection of stale crossiants. Although you are very near the water, even the discount is not worth it. Do not recommend.

The worst experience I've ever had a hotel. Never mind that it is out dated and has cockroaches or doubles as a hostel or that they allow tweakers to book a room for 2 and fill it with 10 plus people who are up all night breaking into cars, yes that all sucks but it could be tolerable if the staff wasnt just as or more terrible. There's a girl w dark curly hair med to heavy set who works the front desk who is the most rude ghetto unprofessional person ive ever had the dishonor of knowing. I repeatedly witness her yelling at guest in the lobby w no tact at all. She even made one guest cry. How horrible to go on vacation and be treated so awful. She is in the hospitality business and clearly it is not the right career path for her. I never write reviews but felt this had to be written to try and warn people. Or maybe management reads these reviews and will fire her before they lose more guests because of her or even face potential law suits. One has to be around the corner as my wife and i witnessed her harassing a disabled lady about her service dog. Why they care if a dog is there is just weird as the place is in no way clean and wouldn't pass an inspection. After the disabled lady left in tears she continued to bad mouth this poor lady to other staff members and guests. She even tried to get my wife to join in. Absolutely disgusting.
Please there are other places to stay even if you have to spend $10 more.response / report this review -

This Hard Rock is super fun and trendy. Lots of 20 and 30 somethings dressed up ready to party.
We had drinks at the bar (I think it's called 207) then went to Nobu for dinner, which was awesome. Food and ambiance are great at Nobu.
The room is just average. Pretty small. But I like the low profile bed and it was very comfortable.
In the bathroom, I noticed a flossing tool thing in the corner, which made me think they didn't clean very well. But not a huge deal for me. The double head shower is really nice. But please note the bathroom doesn't have have a bathtub, which was kind of disappointing for me because I love baths, but only find time for them when I'm on vacation.response / report this review -

Cheap, modern, clean. You get what you pay for and for my room rate I got excellent value, freshly remodeled with a beautiful view of downtown San Diego and the harbor! Very friendly front desk staff who will be as helpful as you are nice and appreciative. Ask for a remodeled room which looks brand-new.
