Uniquely designed hotel. Room was spacious and updated and bathroom was gigantic (this may have been because it was an upstairs corner.) Only real annoyances was our neighbor was noisy and the walls did nothing to hide him taking a shower at midnight. Also, the breakfast room was tiny, but it was located pretty conveniently in the middle of all the buildings. During nicer weather there was an outdoor seating area that looked great.
The stay was fantastic and comfortable. However, I had to check out at 4:30 am to catch a flight, and there wasn't a staff member at the desk. After 15 minutes, I had to leave my key and take the Uber waiting for me. There was a sign saying someone would return, but sadly, it took too long and I had to leave to make the flight.
Excellent hotel with fast wi-fi, desk for writing and centrally located to visit Monterey and surrounding area. Great value and accommodations!
Clean, comfy, good location. About the nicest budget motel that we have stayed at in the Monterey area. Just be aware that there is street noise, but they do have white noise machines in the rooms which do help. Staff is good, too. We will be back.
The standard queen room was extremely small and the AC was not working. I talked to the front office and she wanted to come and check it. We had already given it plenty of time to cool down, so we knew she wouldn't be able to do much to fix it. She offered me a fan, I said I paid for a room with AC not a fan. After telling me they didn't have any more standard rooms and me not accepting nonsense. I was eventually put in a king disabled accessible room, which was big. I should also add that the smoke detector was completely covered with a plastic bag. Not sure why but I assume a smoker didn't want it to go off. It was clean and close drive to the beach n attractions but i didn't like the area. Side note the Dennys down the street is slow even when not busy. Sorry I had to be a Debbie downer Im usually pretty easy n positive but had to be honest. R. James
The hotel was what you expect from the comfort suites chain. I gave it one less star because we had to drag our stuff up a few flights of wooden stairs and the room was at the top where the railing is making it incredibly narrow to walk through. We could barely get our suitcase in. My husband hurt his back trying to maneuver everything.
Room was really big, bathroom was huge. Everything was clean, no bad smells.
Went to Monterey to spend a weekend with my boyfriend. Hotel wasn't bad besides being able to hear everything outside. I had told the front desk to split the two nights between my boyfriends card and mine and they said it wouldn't be a problem. One night was $143 which they took out of my account and then I had 2 additional charges of 287 dollars on top of that! So a total of 717 taken out for what should have been one night without even being notified. When I called to talk to the manager she tried to say it was my fault and was no help at all and I did not receive and compensation or anything. I would spend your money elsewhere. Super sketchy.
BEAUTIFUL ROOM! Great prices! Right off HW-1 and minutes from Fisherman's wharf! Definitely coming back. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was constant airplane traffic.
The breakfast is the best part about this hotel! They have a mini waffle machine, sausages and eggs, and more! The bed was comfy and the room was nice! The bathroom was spacious.
Nice hotel, a little older and not as updated. The room was good size and clean. Free breakfast and parking, which for the area is a PLUS. Convenient location.
Friendly service, very cute exterior, rooms felt recently remodeled. Everything was very clean. We arrived at 2am, and they upgraded us from queen to king for free, because it was available, despite our reservation. Breakfast was great!
